Conor McGregor wears $75k suit with 18-carat pinstripes and $600k watch for Road House premiere

Conor McGregor was dressed for the occasion as he headed out in New York for the Road House premiere.

The UFC megastar hit the red carpet to promote his first film role that sees him star opposite Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of the 1989 hit.

The film centres on a UFC fighter called Elwood Dalton who ends up as bouncer at a bar in Florida, with McGregor playing the villainous Knox in the film that is released on Thursday.

“The handkerchief, solid gold, the pinstripe, gold, I’d say all in I’m about $75,000 this suit,” he told Instagram star Chris Smoove, who asks celebrities how much their outfits are worth.

He continued: “It’s an August McGregor [his own menswear brand] special and the pinstripe is 18-carat gold – you know we had to do it big for Hollywood.

Being in New York to promote his acting debut, he paid homage to another film explaining: “The watch is around $600,000, it’s a Jacob & Co, it’s a Godfather watch, you can see Marlon Brando in the centre.

“If you push the button on the side and have a listen, it plays The Godfather theme song – classic.”

McGregor is a fan of luxury watches and revealed he wore fake Rolex pieces to press conferences before money was no object with him, joking ‘you’ve got to fake it until you make it’.

He continued on the red carpet: “The ring is about $12,000, it’s my public house. The Black Forge, my own Road House, and it’s wrapped in baguettes and it’s solid gold as well.

“The kicks [shoes], Tom Ford, Jersey boot, it’s $5,000? I don’t know, a couple of g’s.”

Following the release of Road House, fans will be even more excited to see McGregor return to MMA.

‘Notorious’ has been keen to make a comeback for a long time now, with a fight against Michael Chandler being on the cards for a while.

A date is yet to have been set for the bout, but McGregor has recently revealed that it could be set to take place in the summer.

He also confirmed that Chandler is his comeback opponent and called him a ‘f****** imbecile’ after a previous call out.

But he also has designs on fighting Nate Diaz again and told talkSPORT he wants ‘the real trilogy’ with Dustin Poirier.

McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg in his third fight against Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264.

That loss – ‘doctor stoppage’ in the Irishman’s mind – put the score at 2-1 to Poirier, while it is currently 1-1 with him and Diaz, whom he shared the cage with in two epic clashes in 2016.
