Monday – Week 13 Studs & Duds, Vanishing Players, Injury Reactions

Andy, Mike, and Jason are back for another week with their eyes on helping you win a FootClan title. The guys are looking to break down everything from the week but start out by getting sophisticated.

News

Jonathan Taylor underwent surgery and will be out for three to five weeks. Tank Dell fractured his fibula and will go on IR – his season is over. QB Kenny Pickett is undergoing ankle surgery and might be able to make it back by Week 18. Down goes Derek Carr, Amari Cooper, and Derrick Henry…and Christian Watson left with a hamstring injury. Rhamondre Stevenson has a high ankle sprain and Brian Robinson had a hamstring issue as the Commanders go on bye.

Studs

It wasn’t all bad. Geno and Dak lit it up on Thursday night, and Jason’s Start of the Week, Brock Purdy, is now the favorite for MVP, even with the backward cap. Jalen Hurts was alright, and we now believe in a thing called Jordan Love. On to the RBs, who are highlighted by Alvin Kamara, who should have had three total TDs. Derrick Henry and De’Von Achane also had great games. James Conner excelled against his old team, Chuba Hubbard had two TDs and a lot of work, and CMC did his thing.

Metcalf had a tremendous Thursday, but Deebo may have helped you overcome. Tyreek Hill and Nico Collins could be league winners. Mike Evans had another great game. Christian Watson looked great before his injury, and Puka Nacua went nuclear, died, and returned. Sam LaPorta might be the best rookie TE ever and Trey McBride also gave Mike intense joy.

Duds

Justin Herbert had a horrible game and is no longer in the must-start category. Patrick Mahomes also had an average game – not who you drafted him to be. Zack Moss did not deliver on an abundance of opportunities. Austin Ekeler and Breece Hall were also duds. Jahmyr Gibbs started strong but petered out, and Devin Singletary had a tough game. Both Steelers RBs also disappointed.

Terry McLaurin ran some hard cardio on Sunday. Adam Thielen didn’t show up, and you got nothing from Josh Downs and Drake London. Noah Brown was back from injury but was not involved. Jayden Reed also had a bad game. The Muth did not get Luth, and David Njoku is not an automatic start with Joe Flacco under center. Juwan Johnson goosed.

Enjoy the Monday night game!

Tuesday – Week 14 Waivers & QB Streamers and Droppable Players

Monday Night Recap

A lot of things happened last night, and we got ourselves a football game. Jake Browning was fantastic, and with it, Ja’Marr Chase. Tyler Boyd should not throw the ball, and they need to invest in more carts in Jacksonville, apparently. Christian Kirk went down with a groin injury, and Calvin Ridley was a letdown.

News

Apparently, it is difficult to concuss a Yeti, and Derrick Henry is on track to play on Sunday. The Packers are “unsure” of Christian Watson’s hamstring issue, and Andy doesn’t think he will be back. Puka Nacua is dealing with a sprained AC joint, but he’s good. Derek Carr is in concussion protocol, and Tank Dell underwent season-ending surgery on his ankle.

Waivers

The big names in the heavily rostered category are Ezekiel Elliott, Keaton Mitchell, and Tyjae Spears. Other more available players are Deejay Dallas, Ty Chandler, and Roschon Johnson. Jason’s favorite here is Dallas. The Washington Commanders are going on bye, so remember this if targeting Antonio Gibson. Chris Rodriguez is also a name to remember.

WR adds are up next, and check on Jayden Reed and Romeo Doubs. Mike is also looking at Dontayvion Wicks. Keep an eye out for Curtis Samuel heading into the bye, and you could chase the Noah Brown experience, but there is a lot of risk. Andy’s favorite option is Jalin Hyatt, and Jason likes Jonathan Mingo. Mike is contemplating Elijah Moore.

There are some nasty drop candidates – Hollywood Brown, Terry McLaurin, and Adam Thielen. With the TEs, Andy is okay with Likely in a great matchup, and Mike doesn’t mind Brevin Jordan if Dalton Schultz is back.

This week, Houston, Green Bay, and New Orleans are solid defensive options. Andy likes the Detroit Lions.

Streamers

This week, Andy is streaming Russell Wilson, Jason is going with Gardner Minshew, and Mike is streaming Jake Browning while wearing his steel underpants.

Wednesday – Crucial Start/Sit Decisions and Hungry For More

The guys start out Wednesday with Hungry for More, and Mike wants to see more from Dontayvion Wicks of the Green Bay Packers. Jason is hungry for more from the Miami defense. Finally, after a TD this week, Andy is hungry for more from Evan Engram.

News

Christian Kirk will need surgery and has a core muscle injury. Najee Harris popped up on the injury report, and we might not see him on Thursday. The Chargers are officially opening Joshua Palmer’s 21-day window, and it has been announced that Tommy DeVito will start this week.

Thursday Night Breakdown

The New England Patriots head to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in a very low over/under. You can start Zeke, who is taking over for Rhamondre Stevenson. On the other hand, Jaylen Warren is also an option, and Jason is fine starting both defenses. Andy is leaning away from the Muth, and Diontae Johnson is possible in a pinch.

The guys jump into the mailbag and sign off!

Thursday – Starts of the Week and Week 14 Breakdown, Almost Upset(s)!

News

Oh hey! Zach Wilson is back and starting for the Jets moving forward. There seems to be a chance that Derek Carr will play this week, and Josh Dobbs will get the start. Dallas Goedert looks to return this week, as well as Justin Jefferson. Dawson Knox could play this week, as his 21-day window has opened.

Fantasy Forecast

The final two byes are this week, and the guys start with the Tampa Bay Bucs against the Atlanta Falcons. You are starting Bijan, but Tyler Allgeier is a bench if you can afford it. Mike is ready to play Drake London. Rachaad White is a lock for Tampa, as well as Mike Evans. Detroit heads to Chicago to take on the Bears, and this game might escape any weather concerns. Jared Goff is fine this week. You are playing both Detroit RBs, but the guys don’t want to start any of the Bears’ RBs. DJ Moore is a go, and you could consider Jameson Williams in a pinch.

Indy heads to Cincy to play the Bengals. From a fantasy perspective, this game should be exciting. Pitty City is a PPR lock, and you can start Jason’s poster boy, Zack Moss. Tee Higgins and Josh Downs are the only questionable starts in the game. Mike doesn’t want to force in Higgins, but the guys are okay with Downs. Jacksonville plays Cleveland next in a low over/under. It will also be a weather game with wind, so temper expectations. Jerome Ford is startable. Amari Cooper is still in concussion protocol, but it’s a good matchup if he starts. Jason is not starting any Jag pass-catchers.

Carolina travels to take on the reeling New Orleans Saints in Andy’s almost upset. Alvin Kamara is a lock, and you have a Chuba lock on the Carolina side. It is a roulette of sadness for the WRs. Chris Olave should be started. Houston plays the New York Jets in another Andy’s almost upset. It is another bad-weather game and a horrible matchup for Houston WRs. You can start a Houston RB. Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson can be started, even with the return of Zach Wilson. In the final matchup of the day, the Rams take on the Ravens. With the bad weather, this will be a potential PPR game, and therefore, Jason thinks you can start Flower, Puka, Kupp, and Isaiah Likely.

Starts of the Week

Jason is starting QB Brock Purdy, Joe Mixon, Brandin Cooks, and Cole Kmet. Andy is going with Tua, De’Von Achane, Garrett Wilson, and whoever starts as the Houston TE. Mike is starting Justin Fields, AJ Dillon (hold your nose!), Courtland Sutton, and Isaiah Likely

The show ends with the Boom Boom Kicker, and the guys sign off!

Friday – Week 14 Matchups and Wheel of Shame, It’s Friday!

Thursday Night Recap

Will Zeke be a league winner? Last night tells us that may be a big possibility. Both Steelers’ RBs were gross, and the rest of the game was equally bad. Hunter Henry had a big game.

News

Amari Cooper did not practice, and the guys anticipate him to be out this week. Derek Carr and Taysom Hill also did not practice. Lamar Jackson has the sniffles but should be okay this week. Jason is concerned with Breece Hall, who missed two days of practice. Trevor Lawrence playing might actually happen this week. Stay tuned.

Fantasy Forecast

The first matchup is Minnesota versus Las Vegas. You cannot start Josh Dobbs with how he has been the last few weeks. The matchup against the Raiders is good, but the guys would like to avoid Mattison. With Justin Jefferson returning, Jason is benching Jordan Addison. On the other side, you are going with all your Raiders studs, as well as Jakobi Meyers. Seattle heads to Levi to play the Niners, and San Francisco is on fire. Start all your Niners. On the Seattle side, you have no certainty. Lockett is a scary start, and JSN is a tough one, too. Monitor the RBs.

The Buffalo Bills travel to Arrowhead to take on the Chiefs. Play your QBs. Stefon Diggs is a go and best of luck with your Gabe Davis situation. If you are an underdog, you might have to start him. Dawson Knox returns, so temper expectations for Dalton Kincaid. Isiah Pacheco is out, so be ready for Jerick McKinnon to win some leagues. The Broncos and the Chargers are the next up. No word on whether Josh Palmer will be back, and there is talk about rotating the Los Angeles RBs. The Denver defense has improved, so Jason is only starting Ekeler and Keenan. If you have another option over Justin Herbert, the guys say take it.

Sunday night brings us Philly and Dallas. Dak should be on fire, and you are starting all your Dallas studs. On the Philly side, everyone is a go, and if Goedert is out again, DeVonta Smith should have a great game. Monitor D’Andre Swift and his potential injury.

The week ends with a Monday night doubleheader. Tennessee plays Miami to start us off, and Miami is a big favorite. Play all your Dolphins. For the Titans, even Derrick Henry is a scary start. If you have to start DeAndre Hopkins, at least you will get the targets. The Packers and the Giants close out the week. Play Jordan Love and AJ Dillon is Mike’s start of the week. You can also look at Romeo Doubs, and on the other side, Saquon is a go.

The guys share their DraftKings lineups, Mike spins the Wheel of Shame, and we are heading into the weekend!
