NFL Picks Week 4: Buffalo Hosts Miami in AFC East Clash

The NFL season has reached the fourth week and it’s never too early to look at key matchups. Coming off a near-record-setting performance of 70 points, the Dolphins head to Buffalo in the featured game of the week.

Miami Dolphins versus Buffalo Bills

Coming off a 70-point outburst last week, the 3-0 Dolphins head into Buffalo in this divisional battle. Both teams are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator and the Bills are 2.5-point favorites with odds of 1.690 to 2.179 and an over/under of 53.5. The winning rate of picking the Bills is 67 percent over the last six games. Miami has a +25 to +20 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. Buffalo won both meetings between the teams last season by a field goal and I see much of the same this time. Go with the Bills in a game “over” the line.

Baltimore Ravens versus Cleveland Browns

In this AFC North battle, both teams come into play 2-1. Cleveland is a 2.5-point favorite with odds of 1.690 to 2.179 with an over/under of 40.5. The teams have been trending in games “under” the line and the Browns have a 55 percent chance of winning outright. Note that the Ravens have covered four of their last five as underdogs. The two teams each won at home last season, but I see that trend ending this time. Go with the Ravens to cover and win in a game “under” the line.

Washington Commanders versus Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles come in as one of only three undefeated teams and are huge favorites of 8.5 points with odds of 1.230 to 4.260 with an “over/under” set at 44.5. The Eagles have a 79 percent chance of winning with a score prediction of 36-21. The Eagles are a 5-star home favorite and “burning hot” status, whereas the Commanders are “burning hot down”. Last season the two teams split, each winning on the road. Philadelphia is too strong across the board and will win and cover in a game “over” the line.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers versus New Orleans Saints

Both teams are coming off a loss and sit at 2-1 in this NFC South clash. The Saints are 3.5-point favorites with odds of 1.510 to 2.587 with an over/under of 40.5. New Orleans has a 61 percent chance of winning with a predicted score of 30-16. There is an 89 percent chance that this game is decided by one score. Last season the Buccaneers won both games between the teams with an average total in the games of 31.5 points. Tampa Bay has a slight +28 to +27 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. The Bucs struggled to score against a tough Philadelphia defense last week. I expect the Saints to win and cover in a game “under” the line.

Kansas City Chiefs versus New York Jets

Kansas City is riding a two-game winning streak and the Jets have stumbled their last two after an opening game win against the Bills. The Chiefs are 8.5-point road favorites with odds of 1.230 to 4.260 and an over/under of 41.5.  The winning rate of picking Kansas City is 67 percent over the last six and they have an 82 percent chance of victory in this one. Kansas City has a +21 to +14 advantage on the Power Ranks Indicator and the score prediction is all Chiefs, 40-11. There is little to believe that the Jets can compete in this one. Go with Kansas City to win by double digits in a game “over” the line.
