For the purposes of this article, I’ll be highlighting plays that I believe have upside at reduced roster percentages, but that doesn’t mean we can’t sprinkle in some cash plays into our GPP lineups as well. When building your GPP lineups, be sure to reference our Roster Percentage Report as well as our DFS Rankings in order to identify plays who have a solid projection yet may be undervalued by the field. In order to compete in GPPs, we’ll want to utilize a combination of cash plays and GPP plays in order to build solid lineups without sacrificing too much in the way of projection. Quarterback
Jared Goff $6,300 @ LAC
Goff and the Lions play the Chargers this week in the best game environment on the slate. This DET/LAC game sports a 48.5 point total, the highest on the slate, and this game is being played in a dome. David Montgomery‘s return here does give some pause on Goff’s TD equity, so I can’t look Goff’s way in cash, but I certainly see the path in GPPs. Opponents against the Chargers this year are throwing at a 62% rate, the sixth-highest rate in football. Quietly playing some elite run defense, this Chargers defense is not what it was in recent years. They rank fourth in EPA per rush attempt since Week 5, showing some pass funnel tendencies. If the offense flows through Goff and the passing game, he has some upside in this matchup against a Chargers team that’s allowing opposing passers to average 313 passing yards per game (dead last) and 7.9 YPA (2nd worst). His stacking partners are also so clean with ARSB and Sam LaPorta.
