James Maddison can’t help but laugh at cheeky question from Jamie Carragher about Liverpool

James Maddison is not only the main man at a Sunday roast, he’s the main man for Tottenham right now.

Maddison got a goal in the 2-0 win over Fulham on Monday night, his eighth goal contribution in the Premier League for the club.

Spurs climbed back to the summit of the table and are still unbeaten in the league under Ange Postecoglou.

The mood is pretty good at the north London club right now and the £40million signing from Leicester is loving life there.

But Sky Sports pundit, and Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher couldn’t resist a cheeky question to Maddison after the game.

One of those wins that has helped them to the top of the Premier League was a controversial 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

The Reds had a goal disallowed that was onside, only for VAR to make a blunder and not overturn the on-field decision.

It led to calls for a replay, but it seems everyone can joke about it now.

Carragher asked Maddison: “You’ve got a big game Friday. There’s a long way to go, but you’ve done really well… how do you think you’ll get on in that replay against Liverpool?”

Cue plenty of laughter from the Tottenham man.

He replied: “I just know by the tone of Carra’s voice that was going to be the question.”
