Here’s Jaden Springer Making 100 Threes at an 83% Clip During an Offseason Workout

It’s a slow sports day.

Take a break from the I-95 livestream for a second and watch Jaden Springer knock down some threes during a summer workout:

He took less than eight minutes to hit 100 threes. Doing it at an 83% clip is even more impressive. That’s pretty impressive defense or no defense. Especially since he only took five threes the entire season. People forget this will be Springer’s third season and he’s still only 20 years old. He can score and play defense, but being a consistent three point shooter is how he’ll crack the rotation. The additions of Bobby Jackson and Rico Hines could develop him into an exciting bench piece.

The coolest thing about this is the glimpse into how much better even the 12th man on a NBA team is to a regular person. As Brian Scalabrine said, “I’m closer to LeBron than you are to me.” I’ll try to remember that quote next time I talk shit to Collin Gillespie on the Internet for wearing jeans during the Finals. Because if he wanted to he could cook me on any given day at any given time. I feel like we as sports fans need to remember that more. James Harden might be washed up – buttttt he could still give us 50.

It’s not all our fault though.

We don’t get enough highlights of NBA players vs. normal people anymore to remind us what superhuman freaks they are. We used to. The best thing about the 2011 NBA lockout was Kevin Durant showing up to the Rucker:
