FIFA 23 RTTF upgrade tracker, including Champions League and Europa League Road to the Final ratings and dates explained as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal stars fight to secure boosts

FIFA 23 will be right alongside clubs looking to win Europe’s biggest trophies after releasing Road to the Final cards in Ultimate Team.

RTTF player items tie into the biggest European leagues in football and follow on from RTTK items released during the group stages.

Road to the Final cards are again dynamic FUT items for players whose teams are competing in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League knockout phases.

FIFA 23’s edition will work in a similar vein to year’s gone by, with RTTF players given an initial boost at the start and then each will have the potential for five additional dynamic upgrades based on how the player’s team progresses in their respective competition.

• Win 1st knockout game after campaign launch (UCL) or qualify for Round of 16 (UEL/UECL) – +1 in-form upgrade
• Quality for the Quarter-Finals – +1 in-form upgrade
• Qualify for the Semi-Finals – +1 in-form upgrade and three new traits (they will depend on the player’s position and existing traits)
• Qualify for the Final – 5 star weak foot upgrade
• Win Final – +1 in-form upgrade and 5 star skill moves upgrade

Roberto Firmino already has five star skill moves on the game, so should Liverpool win the Champions League then he will receive a plus one in-form upgrade instead – although their 5-2 defeat to Real Madrid in the first leg makes that unlikely.

The same applies to players that already have five star weak foot – a plus one in-form upgrade will be issued if they reach that stage.

Borussia Dortmund beat Chelsea 1-0 in their Champions League first leg, but Donyell Malen’s RTTF card wasn’t issued yet meaning the Germans will have to replicate the feat in the reverse meeting for him to receive that particular upgrade.

The actual RTTF players themselves do not need to feature in the games for club for them to count towards the upgrade

• 2nd upgrade: Friday, March 17
• 3rd upgrade: Friday, April 21
• 4th upgrade: Friday, May 19
• 5th upgrade: Friday, June 12

Europa League

Gabriel Martinelli, Brais Mendez and Juan Miranda will receive a guaranteed first plus one upgrade due to their respective clubs already reaching the Round of 16.

Yet they will each have to wait until the Europa League playoff ties have concluded to receive that boost.
