BREAKING: James Harden Has Been Traded to the Clippers

In some sick and twisted way it’s kind of poetic the James Harden saga ends while everyone is sleeping. It’s a storyline Sixers fans have been glued to for the last three months and it ends while you’re out cold. Tbh, Woj might’ve fallen asleep after pressing send on this Tweet because it’s been 15 whole minutes since he broke the news:

No details. Nothing. Gotta imagine this could be a complex deal with potentially multiple teams or picks?

Man Paul George, Kawhi Leonard, Russell Westbrook, and Harden all on one team. The Clippers know there’s only one ball right?

Obviously the draft picks and pick swap are the main course here. The players involved look to be salary matches. I’ll miss the dog PJ Tucker brings to the team, but we can replace that with Pat Bev. Does Process Sixer Robert Covington retire a 76er? Isn’t Nic Batum 80? We also got the better of the Morris twins. Plus KJ Martin who started 49 games last year and averaged 12 ppg.

 

EDIT 5: Here are the pick details. Two firsts?!? One unprotected at the moment in 2028 and another from a third team in the deal:

The Clippers are sending the Sixers a 2028 unprotected first-round pick, two second-round picks and a pick swap, sources tell ESPN. The Clippers are also routing the 76ers an additional future first-round pick from a third team.
