Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister hits back at Florentino Perez after the Real Madrid president dismissed bringing the Manchester United star back to the Bernabeu… and got his age wrong

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has hit back at Real Madrid president Florentino Perez after he ruled out re-signing the Manchester United forward.

Perez was asked by a fan about the possibility of Los Blancos making a move to bring their record scorer back to the Bernabeu, but dismissed the idea out of hand.

But Perez dismissed the idea of bringing him back

Ronaldo has faced a summer of speculation after failing to return to United pre-season for ‘family reasons’ with numerous reports over his desire to leave the club.

His agent, Jorge Mendes, is claimed to have been trying to seal a move to a Champions League side, namely Chelsea or Bayern Munich, but nothing has come to fruition.

One side that hasn’t been mentioned is Madrid, who Ronaldo starred for between 2009 and 2018, and one fan couldn’t help himself pleading with the club president for a return.

A supporter filmed himself asking Perez to re-sign Ronaldo, only to get the reply: “Again? He’s 38-years-old!”

Even at his advanced years [Ronaldo is actually 37] the striker has still proved his worth, scoring 18 Premier League goals upon his Old Trafford return last season – eight more than any of his teammates.

However, as this summer has proved, he is no longer as sought-after as in his peak years, yet his sister was still keen to jump to his defence.

Taking to Instagram to hit back at Perez, Katia Aveiro said: “He’s 38 years old but he can jump 2 meters high in the air and stay in it for 3 minutes and his body has no fat.

“Respect yourself, old man, you are 75.”

After missing the majority of Manchester United’s pre-season, Ronaldo was only deemed fit enough for the bench in their Premier League opener against Brighton.

He came on in the second-half, but couldn’t inspire his team to a comeback as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to the Seagulls.

However, Ronaldo has given a big hint that he may be restored to the starting XI this weekend when United take on Brentford.

And, with three weeks until the transfer window closes, its looks increasingly likely CR7 will be staying put at Old Trafford this summer.
