Bucs vs. Chiefs: Most Impressive Players In Week 4

There weren’t many positives to write about in this week’s Most Impressive, as the Bucs fell to the Chiefs by a score of 41-31. Nonetheless, here are the most impressive players from Week 4.

Mike Evans

Coming off his one-game suspension, Evans was one of the few bright spots for the Bucs. On the Tampa Bay’s first touchdown drive, it was Evans making the big plays. First came a 30-yard gain to get the offense into Chiefs territory. He followed that up with an 13-yard touchdown grab in the end zone. Evans wasn’t done, making another pivotal 16-yard grab with the team driving with two minutes remaining in the first half. He topped that off with his second touchdown of the night, a 1-yard back-shoulder fade in the end zone. Evans ended the night with eight receptions for 103 yards and two scores.

Chris Godwin

In Godwin’s return, he was steady eddy. He came up with some big plays, including a key third-down conversion on the Bucs’ last touchdown drive. At one point, Godwin was shaken up but returned to the game and ended up with seven receptions for 55 yards on 10 targets.

Mike Edwards

After leading the team in tackles in Week 3 against the Packers, Edward did it again versus the Chiefs. He finished with a team-high 12 tackles and also had a five-yard sack on Patrick Mahomes in the third quarter.

Tom Brady

For everything that went wrong around him, Brady was his typical self. He missed a few throws he should’ve made, but spent most of the game under duress and made the throws he needed to make. He kept the Bucs in the game for the most part and kept it from becoming a blowout. Brady finished the game with 39 completions on 52 attempts for 385 yards and three touchdowns.

Sean Murphy-Bunting

Coming in for an injured Carlton Davis, Murphy-Bunting intercepted Mahomes with the game out of reach. He had a good return on the play, taking it back for 33 yards. The turnover set up a Tampa Bay touchdown drive.
