Hello, I would like to buy a gowel…

It was truly amazing watching the die land where they did Tuesday. If I had video clipping skills, I would create a little compilation of all the missed empty nets and blown pucklines. At the low end of conversions against an empty net, you’re looking at 30%, however, you can expect over many season-long samples to find teams converting at approximately 40%. This is part of what makes the underdog side of a puckline so unappealing to many bettors’ NHL picks.

Seeing four different teams not sniff the empty net and the difference in swing in returns that made is just hard to accept. Will I have to make an EN meter to go with the daily ROFL? No…cause I just simply won’t have the time to do so. If I was going to it should be tracked from the start. And I don’t want to know the truth on if empty nets would make a signficant difference in profitability on the season. Well, I already know it will have. Anyone still thinking about the Senators -1.5 @ +600 that was busted when they were facing an empty net WITH a man-advantage? No idea how rare those are against but substantively less seen than the 14% implied line of that Ottawa handicap.

Because I don’t have any hockey in my own life anymore, and yet I need to keep emotions in check as my mentor reminded me on Monday, I resorted to watching NHL’ers release some frustration. Who knows, maybe you’ll find it helps also:

I should say the one thing that did go our way Tuesday was the first period totals with a perfect 3-0 despite the market moving against all three! Neither game qualified for Wednesday.

PLEASE READ:

Always risking 1u, never ‘to win’ 1u. If I expose two, that still remains risking 2u, not betting 2.5 to win 1 simply because the price is shorter than what I have. A standard stake here is 1u = 1% of your bankroll. This will keep you in the game instead of busting out every other day because you decided to be stupid and put your entire bankroll down on 8 wagers. If you have worse prices don’t bet more to compensate. Please do not attach my plays in parlays, you are costing yourself extra money trying to cut corners.
