REPORT: Reggie Jackson Signs Two-Year, $22 Million Deal to Stay with Clippers

Every postseason there’s at least one player that captivates the globe with their performance and this summer, Los Angeles Clippers guard Reggie Jackson played perhaps the best ball of his career as the Clippers battled the NBA’s cream of the crop.

As the Clips took on Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks, Donovan Mitchell’s Utah Jazz and Devin Booker’s Phoenix Suns, Jackson improved every series, stepping up whenever his team needed him most.

Jackson’s playoff performance didn’t just make sure that the Clippers would want to re-sign him, but it allowed him to command a significant raise as well.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Jackson signed a two-year, $22 million deal to return to the Clippers, the maximum the team could pay him under current CBA rules.

Jackson made the minimum, $1.6 million, last season.

After averaging 10.7 points per game in the regular season, he averaged 17.8 points per game in the 2021 NBA Playoffs (while shooting 48.4 percent from the field and 40.8 percent from 3-point range), taking the challenge on both ends.
