Born and raised in Brasilia, Brazil, a strict upbringing led Moraes into the Jiu-Jitsu gym, where he excelled as a submission specialist – earning countless accolades in the sport of BJJ (No-Gi).

Successfully capturing the ONE flyweight championship, he would quickly lose the title but waste no time in reclaiming the belt and is now the defending champion with a lot to prove.

If you are a long-term fan of the sport, the name Demetrious Johnson will be highly familiar. He is one of (if not the greatest) martial artist to have ever graced the UFC octagon – and now, his talent is extending to Asian audiences on American TV.

His skill set is beyond flawless, and I still believe that Henry Cejudo did not significantly defeat him to claim his UFC title, and nobody has come close since 2013 (Joseph Benavidez).

I expect Johnson to dominate the fight wherever the fight takes place, be it on the ground or the feet; his lightning-fast reactions and superb countering abilities will leave Moraes wondering what bio-lab this specimen came from.
