NFL Week 14 Betting Odds, Lines and Picks

Week 14 of the NFL season brings some crucial matchups for teams that still harbor playoff hopes. We look at the NFL odds and lines and make our picks for Week 14.

There are six games on the schedule this week with an opening line of seven or more points. Three of those games have double-digit favorites, which is a lot of points to give but, at this stage of the season, it becomes clearer when there are teams heading in opposite directions.

At the other end of the spectrum, there are six more games that open with a spread within three points. There is value to be found on this board but keep tabs on injuries and player status throughout the week because these lines may change.

Here’s a look at the early NFL odds for Week 14, along with my picks based on the opening lines (odds via FanDuel Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale):

NFL Odds, Lines and Picks for Week 14: Thursday Night Football

Steelers (6-5-1 SU, 5-7 ATS, 4-7-1 O/U) vs. Vikings (5-7 SU, 6-6 ATS, 7-5 O/U)

Opening line: Vikings -3
Opening total: 44.5

Vikings WR Adam Thielen has a high ankle sprain and with RB Dalvin Cook dealing with a dislocated shoulder, it could be tough to pull away from a Steelers team that has trouble scoring but will grind out close decisions.

Pick: Steelers +3 (★★), Under 44.5 (★★★)

NFL Odds, Lines and Picks for Week 14: Sunday Slate

Raiders (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS, 6-6 O/U) vs. Chiefs (8-4 SU, 5-7 ATS, 5-7 O/U)

Opening line: Chiefs -8.5
Opening total: 51

A two-point loss to the Washington Football Team leaves the Raiders with four losses in their last five games and RB Kenyan Drake is out with a broken ankle. TE Darren Waller missed Week 13 with back and knee injuries and his status is of utmost importance for the Silver & Black. The Chiefs have won five straight and are doing it more with defense, allowing 56 points in those five victories.

Pick: Raiders +8.5 (★★), Under 51 (★★★)

Saints (5-7 SU, 5-7 ATS, 6-6 O/U) vs. Jets (3-9 SU, 3-9 ATS, 7-5 O/U)

Opening line: Saints -6
Opening total: 43.5

Although QB Tayson Hill did add some energy in their loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the Saints have now dropped five games in a row. Maybe they can get back on track against the Jets, who have one win in their last five games and not enough depth to deal with some offensive injuries.

Pick: Jets +6 (★★), Under 43.5 (★★)

Jaguars (2-10 SU, 4-8 ATS, 2-10 O/U) vs. Titans (8-4 SU, 7-5 ATS, 7-5 O/U)

Opening line: Titans -10
Opening total: 44.5

As recently as Week 10, the Jaguars turned in a respectable effort in a 23-17 loss at the Indianapolis Colts. Since then, they have been outscored 88-31 in three straight defeats. The Titans have just one double-digit margin of victory at home, and that was a 27-3 rout of Kansas City.

Pick: Jaguars +10 (★★), Over 44.5 (★★)

Ravens (8-4 SU, 5-7 ATS, 5-7 O/U) vs. Browns (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS, 6-6 O/U)

Opening line: Browns -2
Opening total: 42.5

Sunday’s one-point loss at Pittsburgh keeps the Ravens within striking distance for the rest of the AFC North and Baltimore games have had a total of 39 points or lower in each of the past four weeks. Coming out of their bye week, at home, the Browns might warrant a slight advantage against the team that beat them 16-10 going into the bye.

Pick: Browns -2 (★★), Under 42.5 (★★★★)

Falcons (5-7 SU, 5-7 ATS, 5-7 O/U) vs. Panthers (5-7 SU, 5-7 ATS, 5-7 O/U)

Opening line: Panthers -3
Opening total: 43.5

The Falcons lost at home to the Panthers in Week 8 and have gone 2-4 since, with wins at New Orleans and Jacksonville. Carolina is coming off a bye week and needed that time to try to figure out what it is going to do on offense with RB Christian McCaffrey now out for the season.

Pick: Panthers -3 (★★★), Under 43.5 (★★★)

Cowboys (8-4 SU, 9-3 ATS, 6-6 O/U) vs. Washington (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS, 5-7 O/U)

Opening line: Cowboys -4.5
Opening total: 49.5

The Cowboys beat the Saints on Thursday Night Football and the offense should only become more explosive as WR Amari Cooper gets healthier. Washington is turning its season around with four straight wins but it is also feared to have lost TE Logan Thomas to a season-ending knee injury.

Pick: Washington +4.5 (★★★), Under 49.5 (★★★)

Seahawks (4-8 SU, 6-6 ATS, 2-9-1 O/U) vs. Texans (2-10 SU, 5-7 ATS, 4-8 O/U)

Opening line: Seahawks -7.5
Opening total: 43.5

Before upsetting San Francisco in Week 13, the Seahawks had dropped six of seven games. Now, they are favored by more than a touchdown on the road facing a Texans team that is 1-5 at home, with the only victory coming against Jacksonville in Week 1. The Texans might be going back to QB Davis Mills because Tyrod Taylor was hurt again in Week 13.

Pick: Seahawks -7.5 (★★), Over 43.5 (★★★)

Lions (1-10-1 SU, 8-4 ATS, 4-8 O/U) vs. Broncos (6-6 SU, 6-6 ATS, 2-10 O/U)

Opening line: Broncos -8
Opening total: 43.5

The Lions picked up their first win of the season in the final seconds against the Vikings in Week 13 and they have not lost by more than a touchdown in any of the last four weeks. Denver runs so hot and cold, it’s hard to know which version will show up.

Pick: Lions +8 (★★★), Under 43.5 (★★)

Giants (4-8 SU, 6-6 ATS, 3-8-1 O/U) vs. Chargers (7-5 SU, 6-6 ATS, 5-7 O/U)

Opening line: Chargers -10.5
Opening total: 45.5

Now that QB Mike Glennon suffered a concussion, and Daniel Jones is already out, the new Giants QB for Week 14 is Jake Fromm, a fifth-round pick out of Georgia by the Buffalo Bills in 2020. He is going to take on a Chargers team that has alternated losses and wins since their Week 7 bye. Getting the Giants’ third-string quarterback might be time to break that trend.

Pick: Chargers -10.5 (★★★), Under 45.5 (★★★)

49ers (6-6 SU, 5-7 ATS, 7-5 O/U) vs. Bengals (7-5 SU, 6-6 ATS, 6-6 O/U)

Opening line: 49ers -1
Opening total: 47.5

The 49ers appeared to be headed in the right direction as winners of three straight games before they went into Seattle without WR Deebo Samuel and lost 30-23. After two impressive wins, the Bengals were blown out 41-22 at home by the Chargers. The home side that is not missing its best offensive weapon looks good here.

Pick: Bengals +1 (★★★★), Over 47.5 (★★)

Bills (7-4 SU, 6-4-1 ATS, 5-6 O/U) vs. Buccaneers (9-3 SU, 6-6 ATS, 6-6 O/U)

Opening line: Buccaneers -3
Opening total: 53

The Bills have a big test on Monday night at home against New England before they even worry about Tom Brady and the Buccaneers who have won three straight games while scoring at least 30 points in each of those victories.

Pick: Bills +3 (★★), Under 53 (★★★)

NFL Odds, Lines and Picks for Week 14: Sunday Night Football

Bears (4-8 SU, 4-8 ATS, 4-8 O/U) vs. Packers (9-3 SU, 10-2 ATS, 4-8 O/U)

Opening line: Packers -12.5
Opening total: 45

The Bears have lost six of their last seven games and have three road losses this season with a margin of at least 13 points. However, two of those losses were with rookie Justin Fields at quarterback. While Andy Dalton may not be the most exciting option, he does offer stability. The Packers are coming off a bye week and are 5-0 with a scoring differential of plus-67 at Lambeau Field this season.

Pick: Bears +12.5 (★★), Over 45 (★★★)

NFL Odds, Lines and Picks for Week 14: Monday Night Football

Rams (8-4 SU, 5-7 ATS, 6-5-1 O/U) vs. Cardinals (10-2 SU, 9-3 ATS, 6-6 O/U)

Opening line: Cardinals -2.5
Opening total: 52.5

The Rams thumped Jacksonville to snap a three-game losing skid but that is hardly the kind of test that they will face at Arizona, especially now that the Cardinals have QB Kyler Murray back in the lineup.

Pick: Cardinals -2.5 (★★★), Under 52.5 (★★★)
