MLB Tuesday three-team mega parlay (+1656 odds): Hammer the Reds

Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Luis Castillo (58) throws a pitch in the third inning of the MLB National League game between the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates at Great American Ball Park in downtown Cincinnati on Wednesday, April 7, 2021

Baseball is finally back in full swing. The 2021 MLB season officially kicked off almost two weeks ago, and the action has been jam-packed. Why not celebrate the beginning of a new week by going for a nice payday on Tuesday? That’s right, we’re back with another MLB mega parlay, this time a three-teamer with a payout north of 15/1 where we’re counting on the Reds to keep things rolling. After cashing our mega parlay last Tuesday at nearly 17/1 odds and coming close on a couple others, we’re looking for another success here.

We’re going big and bold, so let’s not waste any more time. We’re diving in, but don’t forget to check out our picks for the side and total on every MLB game, with our team of experts in red-hot form to start the season.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+155)

Cleveland Indians -1.5 (+155)

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (+170)

Parlay odds: +1656

Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (+155)

With Hyun Jin Ryu on the mound, I’ve got to add Toronto in here. He’s been one of the best pitchers in all of baseball the past few seasons, and he’s looked good through his first two 2021 starts. His season-opening outing came against this same Yankees team, and he held them to just two runs. The Yankees are just 5-5, and they’re starting Jameson Taillon here, who has started all of eight games since the 2018 season. Giancarlo Stanton is in a big slump to start the year, and until he turns it around this New York lineup really isn’t all that intimidating. Toronto had a tough time at the plate on Monday, but in their previous game they put up 15 runs, so I’m not too concerned.

Cleveland Indians -1.5 (+155)

The Indians will get the best of this AL Central clash. Each team will have a young star on the mound, Shane Bieber for Cleveland and Lucas Giolito for Chicago. Giolito is capable of pitching at a very high level, but at this point Bieber has a clear edge over him. Bieber had a 1.63 ERA in 12 starts last year, and was nearly untouchable. He struck out 122 batters in 77 and 1/3 innings, and already has 24 strikeouts in just 12 and 1/3 innings in 2021. This Cleveland lineup doesn’t get any respect, but they’re not nearly as bad as most people think. Entering Monday’s action, they were seventh in the entire league in OPS. Giolito wasn’t anything dominant in 2020, and he has a 4.22 ERA through two starts this year.

Cincinnati Reds -1.5 (+170)

Luis Castillo has looked like a true ace the past couple of seasons, and he’s coming off a dominant outing where he tossed seven shutout innings and only gave up four hits. The Reds stumbled at the end of their series against Arizona, but they bounced back a shutout win over the Giants on Monday, and they’re now 7-3 overall. As such, I don’t see how Cincy isn’t a decided favorite here. San Francisco has failed to top four runs in any of their past eight games, and their offensive upside is severely limited. Give me this Reds lineup over the Giants’ all day long, and Castillo over San Francisco starter Kevin Gausman all day long. Cincinnati rolls here.
