DFS First Look Pricing for Week 9 (Fantasy Football)

The prodigal has returned! (Hopefully) With Christian McCaffrey potentially back this week, DFSers get to face some decisions about roster construction and selecting fantasy’s most dominant force we haven’t had since Week 2.

Each week see movement and fluctuation in prices. Like any type of market, some changes are needed, some are overcorrections, and some salaries are just downright wrong. Player pricing on the major DFS platforms is available to us well before we even start our process of building lineups and allows us to identify the inefficiencies, a tool within the toolbelt of someone who wants to win consistently in DFS.

For the complete list of DraftKings and FanDuel prices, check out this week’s DFS rankings found in the Ultimate DFS Pass.

Quarterback

Patrick Mahomes is the QB1 on both sites and for good reason. If you want to pay up and forget it, I totally understand.

DraftKings: Despite putting up insane numbers each week, Russell Wilson is still underpriced at $7,600 as the QB3. … Josh Allen has strung together about four middling games in a row but this is the week to jump back on board especially with his salary deflated to $7,000. He’s a cash game play for me against the hapless Seattle secondary… f there was ever a week to jump on Lamar Jackson ($6,900) when the world is doubting him this is it. The Colts defense carries a reputation of shutting down opposing QBs but they’ve yet to face a true mobile QB this year. Roster him at three percent in GPPs and hope for the blow-up spot…. In terms of the middle tier, I like Matthew Stafford ($6,600) coming off his first 3-TD game of the season against Minnesota. You also might want to look Matt Ryan‘s way at $6,400… Let’s say you want to get weird. Drew Lock ($5,200) is the cheapie this week against an Atlanta team you’ve picked on all year long. He put up three TDs last week but if you have PTSD from rostering Jimmy G last week I understand…. The punt play is the Jacksonville starting QB: Mike Glennon/rookie Jake Luton at $4,900. I do not recommend this even against Houston.
