With the Eagles’ 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday night, the 2024 NFL season officially came to an end. That means the Bucs’ 50th season is on deck in 2025.
Just moments after Super Bowl LIX went final, the Bucs posted a hype video looking ahead to their 50th season. Naturally, it was narrated by Ring of Honor member and Pro Football Hall of Famer Ronde Barber.
The past built us. Tampa Bay made us.

The video includes a look back at the early days of the franchise before highlighting the growth of the Bucs franchise and the Tampa Bay area as a whole.
Of course, it also cycled through iconic moments of the team’s history, including Barber’s game-clinching pick-six against the Eagles in the 2002 NFC Championship Game, the late Malcolm Glazer hoisting the franchise’s first Lombardi Trophy and celebrations of the Super Bowl LV win at Raymond James Stadium four years ago. Oh, and there was no forgetting Tom Brady’s Lombardi Trophy toss during the Super Bowl boat parade.
The video also carries a message from Barber about the endurance of the Buccaneer fan base through five decades of football in Tampa Bay.
“Even as the creamsicle and white turned to pewter and red, the wild spirit of our krewe remains,” Barber says.
“Year after year, the biggest party in Tampa happens right here,” Barber later continues. “Because this team, these moments, they share one thing in common: They’re made by Tampa Bay.”
The video then concludes with Barber looking up at the video board inside Raymond James Stadium as the team’s 50th season logo flashes on the screen.
Bucs’ 50th Season Features Eight Home Games, Nine Road Games

Tampa Bay’s opponents for its 50th season have been finalized since the end of the regular season, though the full schedule won’t be released until mid-May after April’s NFL Draft.
For now, we know the Bucs’ 2025 schedule includes eight home games and nine road games.
The home slate has visits from the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles, as well as the 49ers, Cardinals, Patriots, Jets and the three NFC South opponents. On the road, the Bucs will face those three divisional opponents plus the Rams, Seahawks, Dolphins, Bills, Lions and Texans.
That’s a schedule that only includes five teams from the 2024 playoff field. Philadelphia is the only one of those five that Tampa Bay will see at Raymond James Stadium, as the others are all on the road as the team will visit Los Angeles, Buffalo, Detroit and Houston.
There’s also a slight possibility that the Bucs’ road schedule could include a trip to Madrid, as it was announced back in January that the Dolphins were a designated team for the NFL’s first-ever game in Spain. Since that’s one of Miami’s “home” games and Tampa Bay is scheduled as one of its home opponents, there’s a one in nine chance that it could be Todd Bowles and Co. matching up with Mike McDaniel’s team at the iconic Bernabéu Stadium, which is home to Real Madrid of La Liga.
Though the regular season schedule will drop in full later this spring, we do know that Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season will be the weekend after Labor Day. Since the Eagles will be kicking off the season at home on Thursday, Sept. 4, as the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Bucs should open things up on Sunday, Sept. 7.
With that said, Tampa Bay’s 50th season is officially 210 days away. Start the countdown now, Bucs fans.
