Washington Commanders vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers Same Game Parlay: Washington springs the upset at +525 odds

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels (5) celebrates after scoring a touchdown against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth quarter at Raymond James Stadium.

Sunday’s NFL Wild Card action concludes with an intriguing battle in the NFC between the #6 seed Washington Commanders and #3 seed Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Both of these teams have been fun stories this season, with the Commanders exceeding all expectations and winning 12 games in a season where they were supposed to finish well out of the playoffs. On the other side, Tampa Bay has won the NFC South for another season, and looks to be a formidable foe heading into the postseason. What will we see on Sunday? It’s almost time to find out. With tons on the line, I have pieced together our best Commanders vs Buccaneers Same Game Parlay picks at +525 odds — with the matchup airing live from 8:20 pm ET on NBC.

Let’s dive in, while you can also check out all of our NFL picks on the side and total for EVERY Wild Card game this weekend.

Washington Commanders ML over Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+136)

Last season, the Buccaneers took on a pretty defeated Philadelphia Eagles team that was on its last legs heading into the postseason, and Tampa Bay disposed of the Eagles in short order. Things are much different this time around, as rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has emerged as one of the most dynamic signal-callers in the league and he has led Washington to 5 straight wins heading into the playoffs — including a win over the NFC East champion Eagles. The Commanders lost to Tampa Bay in Week 1, but this is a totally different team than what we saw back in September.

While the Buccaneers did finish 6-1 over their last 7 games this season, they own just 1 win over a playoff opponent (the Los Angeles Chargers) during that stretch, and their loss came to an atrocious Dallas Cowboys squad that had little to play for. Additionally, in a must-win situation in Week 18, Tampa Bay came relatively close to being upset by the New Orleans Saints — who were without question one of the worst teams in the NFL down the stretch. Baker Mayfield is playing some of the best football of his career, but there isn’t a lot to like about this team on the defensive side of the ball, particularly in the secondary. Washington should put up plenty of points in this contest, and the Commanders are certainly live on the money line in what should be a shootout on Sunday Night Football.

Jalen McMillan anytime touchdown scorer (+165)

While the Commanders are our expert’s preferred wager on the money line in this game, rookie Jalen McMillan has been a pleasant surprise for the Buccaneers offense over the last 5 games. Following the injury to Chris Godwin, the rookie has stepped into the #2 role behind Mike Evans. McMillan has put together 5 straight games of 50+ yards and 7 touchdowns – scoring a touchdown in every game. If the Commanders decide to bracket Evans over the top with Marshon Lattimore and a safety, McMillan should certainly be in line for another heavy dose of targets from Mayfield in this one. Let’s get to the window with McMillan as a non-correlated play in this SGP.
