The Flyers Need 26 Points from Final 25 Games to Hit Adjusted Point Total Over

Okay, okay, okay.

I know what you’re thinking.

Bosssman Kinker just put up a post asking if we should even post about the S****s or F****s between now and the start of baseball season.

My simple answer to that is I’m the betting guy and I look at all angles, even if that requires me to root against the local hockey team.

At the moment, DraftKings listed the adjusted season point total at over/under 80.5.

It’s really the only F****s futures worth looking at because Matvei Michkov’s Calder Trophy odds have submarined and there’s no value on playoff futures because they sure as shit aren’t getting into the postseason.

So now I ask the question:

Can the local hockey team earn 26 points in 25 games to hit the adjusted season point total over?

Well, the return to the NHL regular season on Saturday doesn’t get any harder with Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers coming to town.

Games on Tuesday and Thursday against the Pittsburgh Penguins could result in wins, as could the March 8th home clash with the Seattle Kraken.

However, there isn’t much relief around those games.

There are four games against teams in Western Conference playoff spots, six games against teams in the Eastern Conference playoff positions and two more versus squads right outside the final wild-card spots in each league.

Almost half of the remaining games are against teams directly playing for something, and that’s not even including contests with teams in the crowded wild-card race in the East, which technically the F****s are a part of.

But do you really expect Torts and Co. to leap over seven teams and match a playoff pace coming off a stretch where they lost five of six before the 4 Nations break?

The under 80.5 is priced at -115 at Pennsylvania sports betting apps. Set it and hell you won’t even have to think about the F****s on a nightly basis. Just check in occasionally to make sure the under is safe.
