The Amazing Race odds after the second episode have the friend team of Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge (+100) as the favorites at entertainment betting sites!

Online sportsbooks might have given them the early edge because they’re gamers. They can think strategically, and their communication skills have been honed. They proved the bookies right after the season premiere, which was a double-elimination leg! The friends won their side of the Fork in the Road, and after Episode 2, Carson and Jack have an implied win chance of 50%, which is up from 33.3%.

Next are Jonathan and Ana Towns (+500), and they actually won the second leg! They also finished second in their Fork in the Road side in the first leg, although Jonathan overreacted to “only” finishing second, and people noticed.

I had an eye on Alyssa and Josiah Borden (+550) to start, and now the married couple has moved from +1200 to +550! Their job as nurse anesthetists is stressful, so Alyssa and Josiah are well-equipped mentally to handle whatever The Amazing Race throws their way. The Bordens are still presenting some value in Amazing Race betting for you!

The Amazing Race Recap – Episode 2

The 12 teams set out from Hong Kong to Osaka, Japan, where they were met with an Intersection, where two teams had to pair up together to complete a challenge. They would team up for the Roadblock, where they had to perform a taiko drum routine. It was a struggle for Ernest and Mark, who teamed up, but Ernest couldn’t figure out the drum routine and it took them a long time to finish it. However, to be fair, it was quite difficult.

The Detour had two options: mochi, which was pounding steaming rice to make mochi balls. The other option was mawashi, which meant teams had to wrap themselves in a cloth used by sumo wrestlers, and then push the sumo wrestler out of the ring. Thankfully, the sumo wrestler took it easy on them.

Finally, the teams had to make it to the Pit Stop, an area in Osaka. Jonathan and Ana were first to the mat, winning a trip to Tanzania. Scott and Lori quietly made their moves through the tasks and came in second, followed by Alyssa and Josiah, Carson and Jack, and Melinda and Erika. Ernest and Bridget were eliminated as they struggled after the drum routine with the mawashi task. However, had they ran at the end, they may have been able to beat Han and Holden, who argued throughout every task they did.
