Ohtani has yet to pitch for the Dodgers, so last season, all he had to worry about is hitting and stealing bases. That resulted in a 54-homer season for the Japanese superstar, and it was his third season of 44 or more home runs in his last four campaigns. At 30, Ohtani is into his prime, and the plan is that he won’t pitch until May, at least. The Dodgers don’t necessarily need him right away after signing fellow Japanese stars Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Roki Sasaki. No wonder why the Dodgers are favored to repeat in the World Series odds!
I’m going to take the over at -125 in these Shohei Ohtani odds, even if he were to start pitching on Opening Day. We could see a 60-homer season from Ohtani, and hitting under 43.5 home runs would surprise me much less than Ohtani hitting 60 dingers!

Ohtani had a career-high 130 RBIs in 2024, and has had 95 or more in each of the last four seasons. 97.5 seems like the right number, but again, I’m taking the over at -130 at MLB betting sites because if Ohtani has the season I think he’ll have, 100 RBIs is the absolute minimum.
I can see the reigning National League MVP driving in around 120 runs in 2025!

This Shohei Ohtani prop bet is set at 151.5, and Ohtani blew past that last year with 197 hits! His batting average has gone up in each of the past four seasons, and I have no reason to believe that Ohtani will dip below .300 in 2025.
If Ohtani is healthy and plays 150 games, I think over 151.5 is a great pick at online sportsbooks. It doesn’t hurt that he has the likes of Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, and Teoscar Hernandez hitting around him.

This is easily the most intriguing of all the Shohei Ohtani prop bets I’ll discuss. Ohtani was always a fine base stealer, and has hit double-digit figures in six of his seven major-league seasons. The only time he didn’t was when he played just 44 games in 2020, due to the pandemic. Even then, Ohtani stole seven bases!
But I’m going to take a slight under here at -110, even though Ohtani stole an absolutely ridiculous 59 bases in 2024. He became the first member of the 50/50 club, which is 50 homers and 50 stolen bases in a season! It was the first time he’s ever stolen more than 31.5 bases, which is this year’s number, and that was largely because he didn’t have to pitch.
Now that he’ll be back on the mound, the Dodgers would be smart to use him wisely on the base paths, but Ohtani is still enough of a threat to keep pitchers’ attention on him, and not on the batter. I can see him stealing 20-25 bases, which would be great, but I’m going to recommend a bet on the under here at offshore sportsbooks.
