Mo Salah next team odds have been released to the betting market, as the Egyptian winger and Liverpool seem to be far away in their contract negotiations. It’s Salah’s final year, and he can now talk to other teams, but will Liverpool keep their best player at Anfield?
I’ll examine the odds, break them down by favorites and longshots, and give you my Mo Salah next team prediction on what will happen to one of Liverpool’s all-time best players!
Mo Salah Next Team Odds
TEAM | ODDS |
---|---|
Liverpool | -300 |
Any Saudi Arabian Club | +200 |
Paris Saint-Germain | +800 |
Real Madrid | +1800 |
Barcelona | +2000 |
Any MLS Club | +2200 |
Bayern Munich | +4000 |
Juventus | +4000 |
AC Milan | +4000 |
Inter Milan | +5000 |
Arsenal | +5000 |
The Mo Salah next team odds at online sportsbooks are leaning towards the Egyptian star staying at Liverpool (-300), where he has spent the last seven-plus seasons. There is an implied chance of 75% of Salah remaining a Red, but that doesn’t mean it’s a done deal, and there will be plenty of teams looking to swipe him!
Next is any Saudi Arabian club (+200) with an implied probability of 33.3% to swoop in. Those clubs have bags of money that they can throw at Liverpool to facilitate a transfer if he lets his contract expire. They can also afford to pay Salah whatever he wants. Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain (+800) are an interesting option, as they are still looking to replace Kylian Mbappé.
I’m not considering Arsenal (+5000) as I don’t think Salah would ever play for another English club. I’m totally discarding Manchester United’s (+6500) odds, because quite frankly, I have a better chance of ever playing for Liverpool’s most bitter rivals than Salah!

Favorites to Sign Mo Salah
Let’s evaluate the clubs that have the best chance to land Mo Salah next season!
Liverpool (-300)
It doesn’t make sense that these contract negotiations are so difficult, although we don’t know the numbers. But unless he’s asking for outlandish money, it would be foolish for Liverpool to not re-sign Salah. He scored 44 goals in his debut season in 2017-18, and Salah is fourth all-time among Liverpool goalscorers with 232. He’ll surely be third by the end of this season, as Salah trails Gordon Hodgson by nine goals as of January 9. It seems Salah wants to retire as a Red.

The context behind this from Salah’s X account is that he, Trent Alexander-Arnold and captain Virgil van Dijk are all having contract difficulties with Liverpool. This trio is the core of Liverpool’s recent success, and Salah is, undoubtedly, the best player in the English Premier League this season. He has 18 goals in Liverpool’s first 19 games, and is the key to a run atop the EPL title odds. At 32 years old, Salah is having the best season of his career!
If the brass at Liverpool knows what’s best, they’ll open up their wallets quickly and end this saga. The longer it goes, the worse it’ll get. Still, Mo Salah next team odds are favoring the two sides to figure it out at offshore sportsbooks!
Any Saudi Arabian Club (+200)
You can bet that all the major Saudi Arabian clubs are keeping a close eye on this situation, which is why they’re this high in the Mo Salah next club odds. Liverpool already turned down a $188 million offer from Al-Ittihad in 2023. The interest is surely continuing, and they’re the next option favorite at online sports betting sites.
Michael Emenalo, Saudi Pro League Sports Director, spoke earlier last year on Mo Salah situation with Saudi Pro League:
“I think it depends on Mo. Salah!! I didn’t feel Salah is ready to come because he had felt like he had unfinished business.” 🇪🇬🔵 https://t.co/wNBvZLo3Gn pic.twitter.com/CrW6MgtOGi

Al-Hilal is also lining for a chance to sign Salah, but it would be a shame if he went there while he was still playing his best soccer. Players who have moved to the Saudi Pro League are either past their prime (Cristiano Ronaldo), just looking for a lot of money (pick a name, likely Neymar), or they’ve dropped off the international soccer radar (again, pick a name). If Salah spends two more years playing at the highest level, that bag of money will still be there later.
That being said, that’s a lot of money to turn down by anyone.
Paris Saint-Germain (+800)
PSG is looking for someone to fill the void that Mbappé left when he signed with Real Madrid in the offseason. However, it would be fascinating if PSG decides to go with Salah, who is fantastic, but he is 32.

Salah could go to PSG and easily win Ligue 1. The Parisians have won 10 of the last 12 titles in Ligue 1, and finished second in the other two. But their board and president Nasser Al-Khellaifi want the Champions League, and that has been the goal over the last decade. They’re no strangers to splashing cash, either, as shown by the signings of Lionel Messi and Neymar. They’ve reportedly already made an offer to Liverpool for Salah.
In Messi’s case, he was older than Salah when he signed to PSG, so it’s definitely possible.
Longshots to Sign Mo Salah
Next, let’s check out some longshots to land the Egyptian’s signature.
Real Madrid (+1800)/Barcelona (+2000)
I’ve paired the Spanish giants together because they’re always in the mix for big players. Let’s start with Madrid, and there’s no reason that they would want Salah, apart from they’re Real Madrid. If Salah expressed an interest in Madrid, they could make it happen. Then, Madrid would have a front three of Ballon d’Or runner-up Vinícius Júnior on the left, Mbappé in the middle, and Salah on the right. That would put Madrid at the top of the Champions League odds for the next couple of seasons, at least!
As for Barcelona, they’re having financial difficulties, and are currently having problems registering their players. But they’re Barça, and they usually find a way to get their player. They would definitely have to move on from some players (likely Robert Lewandowski, for starters) to make it happen. But again, they’re Barça.
Any MLS Club (+2200)
This option in the Mo Salah next team odds is very intriguing. Salah wouldn’t be the first to head to the United States recently. Of course, David Beckham started it, and such names as Zlatan Ibrahimović, Wayne Rooney, Steve Gerrard, and Frank Lampard have moved to Major League Soccer. Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne is rumored to be heading there next. However, none of them were playing as well as Salah is right now.
Then, you look at Messi, who made a massive move to Inter Miami (owned by Beckham) last year. The league made it financially worth his while to make the trip Stateside. While Messi isn’t the player he once was, he’s still an excellent player. Would Salah do the same?
Mo Salah Next Team Prediction and Betting Pick
I think this is just hardball right now, and I would lean towards Mo Salah and Liverpool finding a way to make it work. If they don’t re-sign Salah, fans would be up in arms, and Fenway Sports Group might be forced to sell the club to Elon Musk!
I don’t think he’ll go to Saudi Arabia just yet, and same goes for Major League Soccer. He still has some good years left, and Salah take incredible care of his body.
PSG is intriguing, but even with Salah, I don’t think they’re a team that can win the Champions League. So, I’m going with Mo Salah to stay at Liverpool at -300 right now, but watch this space. As I noted earlier, the longer this goes on, the more betting value you’ll be able to get on another option in these Mo Salah next team odds!
