Going up against Ivica Zubac made life very difficult for Nikola Jokic in Game 1. Although the 3-time MVP got to his standard numbers, he had to work very hard for every single point, while also dealing with Big Zu on the defensive end. For Game 2 I expect the Joker to change his approach a bit and play smarter. After playing 46 minutes in Game 1, he will need to adapt a little and conserve his energy because this could be a long series. Because of this I have Jokic stepping out on the perimeter and knocking down some threes. Over his last 9 games he’s shooting the three-ball at 42.3% on 2.4 makes per game on 5.8 attempts. He’s cleared this line 5 times, which means we are getting a massive +210 odds for a bet that cashes more than 50% of the time. With Joker it’s not a matter of can he knock down threes, it’s what the opposing defense gives him and which strategy the coaching staff opts for him to take. I believe the Nuggets learned their lesson in the series opener, they’ll be at their best when they lure Zubac out to the three-point line and expose the Clippers paint. Give me Jokic to drain 3 threes here.

James Harden to Record 10+ Assists (-104)

James Harden is on one hell of a run at the moment. He is the motor that has this Clippers team running, everything on offense goes through him and the Clips have enjoyed a lot of success this season because of him. Only once in his last 8 games he’s failed to clear this line, while in the series opener on Saturday he finished with 32 points and 11 assists. He has been an enigma for the Nuggets defense in recent meetings – in the last 10 meetings he’s at 8.8 assists per game, in 5 of those games he went double digits. Turnovers killed the Clippers in Game 1 as they committed 20 of them. Despite the carelessness with the ball, the Beard was still able to dish out 11 assists, so in theory that number can only go up in Monday’s game. What is also encouraging here is the fact that the Nuggets allow the 2nd most assists to opponents this season at 29 per game, which is in line with teams like Utah, Chicago, New Orleans and Washington. They also rank 9th worst in opposing point guard assists per game, so I expect Harden to be all over them in this game.
