After looking at what some Bucs mock drafts had forecasted before the Senior Bowl, what do the top draft analysts have predicted for Tampa Bay now that it has come and gone?
Well, things have been shaken up a bit.

With the 2025 NFL Draft two and a half months away and the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine two and a half weeks away, prospects will continue to rise and fall on each team’s draft board.
That is no different for the Bucs, who should have their sights set on improving the defense. Senior Bowl week in Mobile, Alabama saw Marshall outside linebacker Mike Green and Boston College outside linebacker Donovan Ezeiruaku have impressive practices. Still, they were just two of the many players who put together solid tape.
Outside linebacker is among the top defensive needs, along with inside linebacker and cornerback. Adding safety and defensive line depth cannot be ruled out either. The offense will also need to continue adding depth and could look to do so early if they take the best player available, even if it is at wide receiver.
There are several directions general manager Jason Licht can take when it comes to who he drafts, and the latest mock drafts cover all the bases. From now until the 2025 NFL Draft begins, PewterReport.com is the place to be to stay in the know with the latest news and rumors of how the Bucs will go about building for the future.
Here is a look at the latest mock drafts over the past week and who they have the team taking in the first round.

No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Marshall EDGE Mike Green
Even among a deep group of Power Five prospects, Mike Green has risen up the ranks. After a standout season at Marshall, where he finished as the highest-graded edge defender in the nation, Green validated his talent at the Senior Bowl, flashing against NFL-caliber competition.
With the Buccaneers holding just one proven edge rusher — Yaya Diaby — under contract and limited cap space, Green could step in and make an immediate impact on Tampa Bay’s defense.

No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Missouri WR Luther Burden III
Wide receiver is an early need for the Bucs, with the impending free agency of wide receiver Chris Godwin and the fact that future Hall of Famer Mike Evans will be 32 next season. The team hit with rookie Jalen McMillan in the third round of the 2024 draft, but building on this group is a must.
Burden is hard to evaluate because Missouri’s passing game just wasn’t very good in 2024. But his play power, burst and clutch ability are starter-level traits. He’s a case of “what can he do?” versus “what has he done?” And scouts will no doubt go back and forth on the answer to those questions. If Tampa Bay schemes him early touches as he develops his route running, Burden would be a special No. 2 receiver from the get-go.

No. 53 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen
If the Bucs are able to re-sign guard Ben Bredeson, then they should use this pick on a defensive player. Umanmielen has a ton of speed off the edge, which helped him get 10.5 sacks in 2024, but he really turned heads at the Senior Bowl by showing considerable run-down power at 6-foot-4, and 264 pounds.

No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Texas A&M EDGE Nic Scourton
Scourton doesn’t seem to be getting much buzz these days, but he’s a three-down edge defender who rushes the passer with a good plan and has the skill to get home.

No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Ole Miss EDGE Princely Umanmielen
With Umanmielen and Yaya Diaby, the Buccaneers would boast two young but powerful outside rushers.

CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards
No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: South Carolina S Nick Emmanwori
The endearing trait of Nick Emmanwori is his versatility. He has exposure to playing in coverage but is comfortable playing down in the box. Tampa Bay has brought some familiar faces back to the safety room, but Antoine Winfield Jr. and Emmanwori gives them stability.

No. 19 – Tampa Bay Bucs: Marshall EDGE Mike Green
Green is an extremely disruptive force off the edge. Pairing this relentless rusher with Todd Bowles? Chef’s kiss!
