Expert ATP Predictions for Today, March 7
Here are our recommended bets for ATP tournaments that take place today.
Tommy Paul vs Tristan Boyer: Paul -4.5 Games (-143)
This will be the first-ever meeting between the two Americans. Only one is expected to go far in the tournament though.
That’s 11th-ranked Tommy Paul who is 10-3 on the season and heavily favored at odds of -833 at Everygame, one of our top recommended tennis betting sites. Even betting for Paul to win in straight sets is no better than a parlay piece in your tennis bets at -250 odds.
In 2025, Paul reached the semis at Adelaide, quarters at the Australian Open and semis again in Dallas.
Tristan Boyer comes in ranked 117th in the ATP Rankings and was just 1-2 in 2025 prior to Indian Wells. He has one match under his belt in the Round of 128 defeating 64th-ranked Aleksandar Vukic in three sets. It wasn’t easy though, as Boyer lost the opening set and needed a tiebreaker in the third to advance.
Boyer could only convert 4/10 break points in the match and had some help with Vukic committing eight double faults. The next opponent is a huge step up, though.
Paul had success at Indian Wells last season. He only dropped one set before going out in the semis to Daniil Medvedev. Between his success at this event and his current form against an inferior opponent, we’ll back him to cover the 4.5-game spread in our tennis picks.
Alexander Zverev vs Tallon Griekspoor: Griekspoor +3.5 Games (-120)
On paper, and in the odds, this looks like a huge mismatch between the 2nd-ranked Alexander Zverev and 43rd-ranked Tallon Griekspoor. Zverev is a heavy favorite at -400 and also owns an impressive 6-1 lifetime record versus the Dutchman.
Zverev ended 2024 losing in the semis of the ATP Finals and started 2025 going all the way to the Australian Open Final before losing to Yannick Sinner. He’s 12-4 on the year and is rightfully favored in the tennis odds on Friday.
However, matches with Griekspoor, despite his superior record, rarely come easy for Zverev. The German has won each of the last five and four came last year. They also met in the Round of 32 at Indian Wells where Zverev won 7-6(7) 6-3.
The two would go on to meet in the Round of 32 three more times in 2024 with Zverev needing five sets at Roland Garros and a tiebreaker in the final set, three sets in Shanghai and two tiebreaks and then just two sets but another tiebreak in Paris winning 7-6(2) 6-3.
Griekspoor is 7-5 in 2025 and just went to the semis in Dubai, along the way upsetting Medvedev in the quarters. He’s in good form and always keeps things close with Zverev. Therefore, we’re backing him in our tennis predictions on the game spread.
Free WTA Predictions for Today, March 7
And here are our WTA betting predictions for today.
Ons Jabeur vs Dayana Yastremska: Over 21.5 Games (-115)
The match between 32nd-ranked Ons Jabeur and 46th-ranked Dayana Yastremska in the WTA Rankings looks relatively balanced. Jabeur is favored at -165 on the moneyline and has an 11-6 record in 2025. Yastremska isn’t far off though, with a 10-6 record herself.
Jabeur has reached the quarters in Brisbane, Abu Dhabi and Qatar. In Abu Dhabi she took Elena Rybakina all the way to a third set tiebreak which needed 31 games. Her last match saw her lose in straight sets in Dubai, however, even with only two sets, the match needed 23 games and a tiebreak.
Yastremska has gone to the quarters in Hobart and the final in Linz. In the Australian Open she also lost to Rybakina, in the third round and in 19 games. In Dubai she only lasted two sets and 18 games against Iga Swiatek in the third round. That included zero games won in the second set, something I’d expect her to not do versus Jabeur.
I see two players in good form here with the potential for a three-setter or at least over 21.5 games in the match for Friday’s tennis bets.
Irina-Camelia Begu vs Katie Boulter: 1st Set Over 9.5 Games (+110)
The 38th-ranked Katie Boulter is the -200 favorite over 74th-ranked Irina-Camelia Begu. The two have never played before and neither has played too many matches in 2025.
Boulter played in the United Cup with Great Britain to start the year, but since has only played in two matches at the Australian Open as she’s been dealing with a foot injury. In Australia she only played until the second round. Both matches went three sets and the first sets went long, going to 10 and 13 games respectively.
The injury has forced her to withdraw from other events in Doha and Dubai but she’s eyeing a return at Indian Wells.
Begu is 4-3 on the year and hasn’t gone deep in any events but made it through the qualifiers in Dubai before losing in the opening round. That match went three sets and the first set needed 12 games.
At Indian Wells she defeated Ann Li in the opening round in three sets, 7-5 3-6 6-1, so another longer match with a 12-game opening set.
This is a tough matchup to call based on Boulter’s limited playing time this season and the fact that Begu has a losing record on hardcourts in each of the past three years. With Boulter’s rust and recent trends showing long opening sets for both players, we’ll bet the over in first set games for our best tennis picks today.
