We are getting closer and closer to the start of the season, and the Fantasy Footballers Draft Analyzer is now ready and available for use on the website. Andy, Mike, and Jason are doing another mock draft to celebrate.
The mock draft used the following settings: 12 teams with four bench spots and 0.5 PPR. Andy is at the 1.01, Jason is at the 1.06, and Mike is at the 1.12. It’s the perfect Ballers sandwich.
Make sure to check out Andy, Mike, and Jason’s tier-based rankings, including risk and upside ratings, in the Ultimate Draft Kit.
Round 1:
Andy – Christian McCaffrey, Jason – JaMarr Chase, Mike – Kyren Williams
Andy kicks it off with Christian McCaffrey – easy peasy. Jason has a couple of good options, passes on Bijan, and takes Ja’Marr Chase. Mike is up with back-to-back picks and closes out the first round with the Rams’ Kyren Williams.
Round 2:
Andy – Rachaad White, Jason – Travis Etienne, Mike – Marvin Harrison Jr.
Mike contemplates going with two Rams and grabbing Puka here but decides against it and takes the hometown (potential) hero in Marvin Harrison Jr. to see what his team will look like with a rookie at the helm. Jason is pondering Drake London but wants to avoid as much risk as possible and drafts RB Travis Etienne. We are finally back to Andy, who is in a bit of a quandary. He goes with Rachaad White.
Round 3:
Andy – Jaylen Waddle, Jason – Isiah Pacheco, Mike – Tank Dell
Andy realizes he needs a WR since he has to wait so long before the draft gets back to him. He grabs Jaylen Waddle, fully aware that he will have to reach on players because he is at the turn. It is a good reminder to the FootClan. Jason wants one of the top five TEs, but he wants the last one, which he is hoping to snag in the next round. He goes RB here with Pacheco. Mike says Tank you very much and goes with Dell, who he sees as the Texans’ WR2.
Round 4:
Andy – George Pickens, Jason – Mark Andrews, Mike – Jalen Hurts
Mike kicks off the fourth round trying something new with a QB in Jalen Hurts. The TE run starts, and Jason gets the last one with Mark Andrews. Cooper Kupp and DeVonta Smith go just before Andy, muddying the waters for him. He decides to reach on George Pickens.
Round 5:
Andy – DK Metcalf, Jason – Amari Cooper, Mike – James Conner
Andy picks Metcalf to close out the turn and it is back to Jason. He believes there is a ceiling option for Amari Cooper in Cleveland, so he scoops him up quickly. It’s old-man RB land for Mike, who feels like he has to go in that direction. Head Coach Jonathan Gannon has talked about James Conner lately, and he finds a home on Mike’s team.
Round 6:
Andy – Kyler Murray, Jason – Anthony Richardson, Mike – Tee Higgins
Andy correctly guesses Mike’s Tee Higgins pick right off the bat. With TE situated, Jason checks on the other onesie position, and with Anthony Richardson dropping to the sixth round, he grabs him. Andy had been eyeing Richardson and Kyler Murray, and after Jason’s pick, Andy drafts Kyler.
Round 7:
Andy – Calvin Ridley, Jason – Najee Harris, Mike – Zack Moss
To complete the turn, Andy stays on brand and drafts Calvin Ridley. The board falls nicely for Jason, who sees several players go after Andy, whom he has no desire to draft. He would prefer to go with a WR, but he plays the ADP game and goes with Najee Harris. Mike was hoping for Mostert or Zamir White, but Zack Moss becomes the choice with both of them gone.
Round 8:
Andy – David Njoku, Jason – Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Mike – Jayden Reed
Mike isn’t very excited about this tier of players and contemplates TE. He decides to wait and picks Jayden Reed. Jason was holding out for Ladd McConkey, who didn’t make it back, but JSN did. Andy closes out the round with his TE, David Njoku.
Round 9:
Andy – Jaylen Warren, Jason – Trey Benson, Mike – Dalton Schultz
Andy takes the Steelers RB discount with Jaylen Warren, who he believes will be more explosive than Najee, who went two rounds earlier. Jason feels balanced and is looking at RB or WR as options. He pulls the trigger on rookie Trey Benson, who could be a league winner if Conner goes down. Mike is ready to punt his TE with Dalton Schultz.
Round 10:
Andy – Gus Edwards, Jason – Curtis Samuel, Mike – Blake Corum
With Kyren on his team, Mike drafts Blake Corum as his insurance RB. Believing a certain rookie will drop to him in the final round, Jason goes with a more seasoned veteran in Curtis Samuel in the 10th round. The Gus Bus joins Andy’s team, which could be a good value this late in the draft.
Round 11:
Andy – Rashid Shaheed, Jason – Roman Wilson, Mike – Kendre Miller
Andy closes out his draft with Rashid Shaheed, who should have a lot of work in New Orleans. Jason’s rookie fell to him and Roman Wilson is his last pick, and Wilson has a path to success in Pittsburgh. Kendre Miller is the final pick of the draft.
