Belgium look to bounce back from a shock defeat against Slovakia when they take on an impressive Romania side, while Georgia meet the Czech Republic and Turkey face Portugal in Group F.

Turkey to beat Portugal @ 9/2 

Turkey are a whopping 9/2 to beat Portugal in Dortmund on Saturday and it’s hard to look past the Crescent Stars at that price. 

Of course, Portugal have some superbly talented players at their disposal, but the Selecao are not getting much these days from an aged Cristiano Ronaldo and that was clear when Roberto Martinez’s side struggled to get past a poor Czech Republic team in their opening group-stage contest. 

Turkey are a progressive and forward-thinking outfit and they have a seriously underrated manager in  in Vincenzo Montella. They registered 22 shots and an expected-goals tally of 3.01 when thumping Georgia 3-1 in their Euro 2024 opener and they look capable of causing Portugal major problems. 

Hakan Calhanoglu’s calming presence in midfield has helped solidify a sometimes wayward and erratic Turkey team and there appears to be plenty of upside to a wager on the underdogs. 

Special of the day 

Romania to beat Belgium @ 11/2 

Romania are the Longshot of the Day, but at 11/2 to beat Belgium, the Tricolours could also have been the Bet of the Day.

Belgium continue to disappoint and the Red Devils were rocked by a 1-0 defeat to Slovakia in their first contest in Germany.

The golden generation appears to be over for Domenico Tedesco’s men and it’s difficult to see why Romania are such a big price to down the Red Devils. 

Edward Iordanescu’s team have lost only one of their last 16 matches, they were extremely impressive when crushing highly-touted Ukraine 3-0 on Monday and Romania look capable of outperforming their massive match odds. 

Longshot of the day 

Over 1.5 Georgia goals @ 27/10 

It remains to be seen if Georgia have the defensive fortitude to keep Czech Republic at bay in Hamburg, but the minnows are unlikely to be shy in going forward. 

Willy Sagnol’s men registered 14 shots on goal against a good Turkey team in their Euro 2024 opener and that effort suggests that they can cause the Czechs problems. 

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is their standout performer, but there are threats in other areas and Georgia look a good bet to score two or more goals against Czech Republic and give their fans something to cheer in their second group game.
