The 2024 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is underway as the globe’s best gather in the USA and West Indies eyeing glory.
England are the defending champions after their success in 2022, but they will be without the final’s hero, Ben Stokes, who has elected to focus on his bowling in preparation for the summer.
Jos Buttler‘s men are still a strong T20 outfit and have Jofra Archer fit and raring to go once more.
India and Australia will also fancy their chances, while the co-hosts West Indies shouldn’t be ruled out either.

T20 World Cup 2024: Teams and format
There are set to be 20 teams at this edition of the World Cup, split into four groups of five.
The top two from each group will advance to the Super 8s stage, where the tournament will divide into two pools.
Should the eight seeded sides – England, Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa and Sri Lanka – all qualify for the Super 8s, their pool would be predetermined.
They all then play each other once, and the top two from each pool progress to the semi-finals.
A win earns a side two points, while a no result means both teams get one point each.
There will be no draws, with tied games being settled by a Super Over.
