Mike Tyson leaves former UFC champions in hysterics as he describes how he will approach Jake Paul in fight

Mike Tyson had Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo in fits of laughter as he bluntly worded his tactics to face Jake Paul.

Tyson is set to return to the ring in an astonishing showdown with YouTube-turned-boxer Paul on November 15 aged 58, in a competitive professional bout.

‘Iron Mike’ became known at the peaks of his powers for his brash-talking personality, and unmatched aggression that saw him bulldoze a number of leading names in the professional ranks.

He has spoken with regularity during the build-up about his intentions to step to Paul from the opening bell, and score a trademark KO.

But the way he described his intentions in the fight with Paul to former UFC champions Henry Cejudo and Kamaru Usman produced a hilarious moment.

During an appearance on their pound-for-pound podcast, Cejudo mentioned his ‘inside fighting’ which saw him carry an 88 per cent KO ratio as a professional.

Tyson then effortlessly responded: “I’m going straight through him.

“He’s going to be running around and trying to get to try and find me.

“But all the running I’m going to do is going to be straight at him.

“He hasn’t got to worry about finding me. I will be right at him.”

The straight to the point response had Cejudo, a UFC bantamweight king, in hysterics as he burst out laughing.

Usman, who reigned as UFC welterweight king, also laughed and grinned, with Tyson breaking his fearsome exterior to let out a grin.

It is clear he is taking the prospect of facing Paul very seriously, and any pre-fight respect will be long gone when the pair collide in the squared circle.

The contest will be competed over eight two-minute rounds, a shortened format, which could play into the veteran’s hands.

Tyson was known for his crazy output and relentless punch power, but that faded as his professional career went on.

However, he showed he still carried an element of this during his exhibition with Roy Jones Jr in 2020.

His ferocious hitting has continued to show in training footage as he prepares for the fight.

Paul even acknowledged this, as Tyson recently released a video of him sending a sparring partner crashing through the ropes.

It is clear the fan-favourite has no intentions of letting the contest reach the final bell, and is out to entertain the 80,000 strong crowd in Texas.

And when elaborating on his tactics, he added in an interview with talkSPORT: “Whoever is in that ring has a problem with me.

“If my mother stepped into the ring she has a problem with me. Don’t go in that ring if you don’t want that problem.

“I see him running around and I have to try and catch him and slaughter him.

“He’s a good little fighter but he’s only had ten fights which is considered as an amateur in our field.”
