Manchester United are closing in on their next summer signing after agreeing for Noussair Mazraoui.
The Red Devils have agreed a fee of of between £15million and £20million for the Bayern Munich star.
Erik ten Hag is looking for a new right-back this summer, but a deal will only come off on one condition.
Mazraoui’s move could hinge on a deal taking Aaron Wan-Bissaka away from the club, talksPORT understands.
West Ham are in talks over a move for the defender, who is valued at £15million, meaning that Man United’s move will depend on getting the former Crystal Palace player out of the door.
He did, however, reject a move to east London just last week. The Hammers are back in talks for the defender.
The east London club had also been in the hunt for Mazraoui, having previously agreed a deal worth £15million before switching their focus to Wan-Bissaka.
Mazraoui played under Ten Hag at Ajax between 2018 and 2022, meaning that he is a trusted player of the Man United boss.
The 26-year-old then joined Bayern in the same year that Ten Hag left, going on to make 55 appearances for the German side.
There is also hope that his arrival will aid the development of Antony.
The Brazilian winger played alongside Mazraoui in Ten Hag’s Ajax side, leading Antony to 46 goal contributions in just 82 games.
In their two seasons playing alongside each other, Ajax won back-to-back league titles.
It was that sort of form that led him to join Man United in a deal worth £86million two years ago.
Man United will be desperate to improve on last season’s performances in both league and cup.
After finishing the season in eighth position in the Premier League, the Red Devils did qualify for Europe after beating Man City in the FA Cup final.
They’ve already completed a £56million deal to sign Leny Yoro from Lille, a huge coup amid interest from Real Madrid.
Man United’s season gets underway on Friday, August 16 when they host Fulham at Old Trafford.
