Henry bobbled the pass a bit, and was just getting set to turn upfield, but the speed with which DeJean closed him down was elite. The form tackle? Perfect. This is the kind of thing you put on tape and show your linebackers at the midget-mite level. “This, kids, is how you tackle in the open field.”

DeJean has been so incredibly good in 2024. He’s listed at 6’0″, 198 pounds and looks like he’s 15 years old, but plays like prime Chris Harris Jr. He’s shown a lot of versatility. He plays well in space or at the line of scrimmage. He tackles well. He moves well. He covers well. There have only been a couple of instances this season where you see a rookie mistake or something similar. And what’s crazy is that he was injured to start the season but has slid right in seamlessly. No learning curve or anything. Between himself and Quinyon Mitchell, plus bringing back CJGJ, the Eagles’ secondary looks totally different in 2024.
