The Summer of Best Ball is here! If you’re playing in best ball tournaments, the fantasy playoffs are a huge component of returning a profit as there’s minimal payout for only advancing to the postseason. In order to take home big dollar prizes, drafters need to be able to advance through Weeks 15-17 and then run like the sun!
In this article, Kyle and I put our heads together to come up with a ‘Playoff Priority’ metric, looking at matchups, Vegas lines, and game totals in order to try to identify teams that have a favorable outlook late in the season. While this is a component of best ball drafting, by no means is it the most important component of building best ball teams. We still need to make sure we’re focusing on:

- Team and Game Stacking
- Using Rankings to Optimize Player Takes
- And many more!

Arizona Cardinals
Playoff Priority: 4
The Cardinals are favored in two of their three playoff matchups and get two games inside a dome during the fantasy playoffs, which certainly helps their outlook and ability to avoid frigid temps in late December. When Kyler returned to the lineup in Week 10 last year, this offense was top-10 in both plays per game and EPA per play, so a Week 17 matchup against the Rams with a 48-point total is certainly enticing. McVay’s Rams curb-stomped the Cardinals for 26 and 37 points in last year’s meetings, but the additions of Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey Benson with Kyler now fully healthy say we should see Arizona put up a fight and potentially produce fireworks at SoFi on Championship Weekend.
