Astronomer Jerry Jones Teaches Us About the Sun and the Moon

Let’s check in with Jerruh after the Eagles’ 34-6 win in Dallas on Sunday:

“I’m saying, the world knows where the sun is. You get to know that almost a year in advance. Someone asked me about the sun. What about the sun? Where’s the moon?”

Wow, that really does make you think, doesn’t it? “What about the sun? Where’s the moon?” Put Jerry on the astronomy Mount Rushmore with Copernicus, Galileo, and Johannes fucking Kepler.

What’s funny is that they actually do have curtains at AT&T Stadium. They just don’t use them for Cowboys games. They put ’em up for concerts and WWE but not for NFL games, and there doesn’t seem to be a specific reason why they operate this way. Jerry has been asked about it before and repeats a version of the same answer above. He doesn’t think it’s a big deal and thinks the coaches should adjust to it. Normally you don’t build a stadium with East/West orientation because, well, the sun rises in the East and sets in the West! Therefore, looking into one end zone amounts to staring at the sun, which is a great song by The Offspring. But Jerry did the East/West thing in Arlington for whatever reason, and sometimes it results in Cooper Rush throwing a touchdown pass that CeeDee Lamb doesn’t see.
