Tyson Fury tells England players to smash South Africa as he sends rugby stars passionate message

Tyson Fury has told the England rugby team to ‘smash South Africa’ in a rousing message ahead of their World Cup semi-final.

Steve Borthwick’s side face the Springboks on Saturday as they go head-to-head for a place in the final at the Stade De France.

The two sides faced off in the last World Cup final in Japan, with South Africa inflicting heartbreak on Eddie Jones’ team with a 32-12 win.

England have a chance to seek revenge on the side that stopped them from winning a second world crown.

Now, they know they have the support of one of the country’s most iconic sports stars – Tyson Fury.

Donning an England rugby shirt with a pair of ‘Gypsy King’ shorts in Saudi Arabia ahead of his fight against Francis Ngannou later this month, Fury sent a passionate good luck message.

“Hi, Tyson Fury here live and exclusive from Saudi Arabia,” the champion said. “This is a special message for the England rugby boys.”

Then, shouting in unison with his team in the video, he said: “Come on England!”

“Smash the South Africans in the semis!” he continued. “All the way to the cup final, come on!”

Borthwick’s England defeated Fiji in the quarter-finals last week, claiming a 30-24 victory.

Meanwhile, South Africa edged hosts France in a thrilling 29-28 win.

Ahead of Saturday’s showdown, South Africa’s director of rugby Rassie Erasmus appeared to play mind games with his country’s next opponents, predicting England’s semi-final team in a press conference.

The winner of Saturday’s tie will face the victors of Argentina v New Zealand, who go head-to-head on Friday.
