Monday – Week 6 Studs and Duds & Injuries Galore!

The guys are back together and commiserating after a rough week. Andy, Mike, and Jason start by getting sophisticated.

News

David Montgomery left the game with a rib injury and is expected to miss some time. Justin Fields dislocated his thumb and will get an MRI on Monday; CMC also left injured. Deebo left the Niners game, not to return. Trevor Lawrence has a knee injury and is considered day-to-day, and Ryan Tannehill injured his ankle. Jimmy G. hurt his back and went to a local hospital. Damian Harris also left the field on a spine board and gave the crowd a thumbs-up. Finally, Khalil Herbert went on IR.

Studs

There may not be many in this category, but some people did have a good week. Tua had a great game and is on pace for 5,300 passing yards. Jared Goff was good on the road, and Jalen Hurts was still a stud by scoring on the ground. Raheem Mostert once again highlights the RB studs and Kyren Williams was dominant in the second half for the Rams. Travis Etienne has been dominant, and trade Derrick Henry if you can. Ken Walker also had a great game. Both of the Pats’ RBs were successful, and Kareem Hunt looked pretty good against San Francisco.

Tyreek Hill is again a studly WR, and Amon-Ra St. Brown was back. Adam Thielen also was a monster this week and has been the WR1 since Week 2. Cooper Kupp was great for the Rams, and Drake London was impressive. AJ Brown continues to be a beast, and Pitty City may have been rebuilt. Stefon Diggs was the only Bill targeted in the first half, and Zay Flowers got back into the end zone.

Andy says to sell high on Kyle Pitts after another week of scoring. Only three of the week’s top 10 TEs were actually started by fantasy managers. Keep your eyes on Michael Mayer moving forward.

Duds

Cousins, Mayfield, Purdy…the list goes on and on. Lamar Jackson and Patrick Mahomes were also partial duds, which is a concern. Jason is most worried about Mahomes moving forward. Joe Mixon and Dameon Pierce looked extremely bad – Pierce was stuffed at the goal line a lot, and Devin Singletary got some play. Rachaad White lives here, and D’Onta Foreman was a letdown. Emari Demercado also had a bad week.

Puka and Davante Adams highlight the WR duds, and the guys aren’t crazy worried. DJ Moore can still be bad for your fantasy team, and Calvin Ridley had a down game after a great performance last week. Both Mike Evans and Tee Higgins did not deliver. Hollywood Brown missed a couple of passes, and the guys aren’t concerned. The streak finally ended for Gabe Davis. Did George Kittle show up for work on Sunday? Dallas Goedert did not kill you thankfully,  Logan Thomas was disappointing, and Cole Kmet came back down to Earth.

Tuesday – Week 7 Waivers & Streamers, and Quge Disappointment

Monday Night Recap

It was a bit of a snoozefest last night with Justin Herbert’s average performance, and it was a tough outing for Ekeler as well. Dak Prescott looked fantastic, especially with a rushing TD. 

The Cowboys’ Mike McCarthy offense is not great though. Concern should exist around rookie Quentin Johnston, who only ran 21 routes. It was a Quge disappointment.

News

Kyren Williams’ ankle should keep him out of Week 7; welcome in Zach Evans. Dan Campbell says David Montgomery “will miss a little bit” of time – you might not see him until after their bye. Justin Fields will be out this week, and Bilbo Tyson Bagent will take the field. The Muth should be Luth again on Sunday, and Diontae Johnson could return as well. 

Waivers

With injuries and six teams on bye this week, it is going to be a fight on waivers. Elijah Mitchell and Jordan Mason are the first guys up. Andy is planning on going after Zach Evans. Craig Reynolds might step in for David Montgomery, but that is up in the air. Look for Jaylen Warren, who had a bye last week, and Kareem Hunt, who might slip through the cracks. Keep an eye out if anyone drops Chuba Hubbard, as he has a bye this week; the same with Tyjae Spears. Latavius Murray’s name can also be mentioned, and the Bears’ RBs need to be addressed.

In the WR position, Rashee Rice should be the primary pickup. Jameson Williams and Josh Downs are names to look at as well. Jason likes Wan’Dale Robinson, and Jahan Dotson is droppable. The Muth is returning from injury and the bye, and he is a good TE pickup. You can drop Jake Ferguson, who is heading into his bye week. Jason has some interest in Gerald Everett and Luke Musgrave returns from his bye.

Defensive pickups include Cleveland, Las Vegas, and the Los Angeles Rams. Andy also likes the Bucs, and Jason likes the Jags.

Streamers

Mike is streaming Sam Howell, Andy likes Brock Purdy in a redemption game, and Jason is streaming Geno Smith.

Wednesday – Team Turnarounds and Hungry for More, TNF Preview

After a discussion of how much FAAB was dropped, the guys remind us to check out who was dropped in your leagues.

Hungry For More

The guys have seen some nibbles and are hungry for more. Jason wants more from Jaylen Waddle, who has a great matchup this week. Andy wants more from Pitty City, and Mike is hungry for more from WR Drake London.

News

Anthony Richardson will be undergoing season-ending shoulder surgery, and it becomes the Minshew show. Kyren Williams will also miss a few games, and it might be a high ankle sprain. CMC might be available for Monday night, and the same for Deebo. Roschon Johnson is still in the concussion protocol, and Justin Fields is doubtful. Julio Jones is back and heading to the Eagles! Deshaun Watson has no timeline, and that is delightful.

Thursday Night Preview

The Jacksonville Beefeaters (Jags) take on the New Orleans Saints this Thursday night. All of the Saints’ games have hit the under, so it might not be that exciting. Chris Olave is still an auto start, and enjoy Alvin Kamara. Looking at the Jags, Kirk, and Ridley are in your lineup, especially because of the six teams on a bye. With a potential Trevor Lawrence injury, Andy is okay streaming someone. Jason likes both defenses.

After a mailbag segment, the guys close it out.

Thursday – Starts of The Week and Week 7 Breakdown, Heating Up!

After discussing the chance of Trevor Lawrence playing tonight, the guys jump into the show.

News

Sean McVay was cagey when asked about who his starting RB will be this week – welcome back “Darnell Anderson.” Roschon Johnson remains in the concussion protocol, and DeVonta Smith was added to the injury report. Jeff Wilson returned to full practice, and Kyler Murray was limited on Wednesday. The guys suggest going after Hollywood Brown. Trevor Lawrence is questionable tonight, and Jamaal Williams is expected to play.

Fantasy Forecast

Be prepared for some lower-scoring games this week with six teams on a bye. The Raiders travel to Chicago for a battle of backup QBs. It is hard to turn to DJ Moore with Bilbo Bagent under center, but he can still be a start. Andy would not trust Cole Kmet and keep an eye on whether Roschon Johnson clears concussion protocol and start him if he is active. On the Vegas side, you’re starting Josh Jacobs and Davante, no matter the QB. Jakobi Meyers is a go as well.

Cleveland heads to Indy to play the Colts, and both teams are in the playoff hunt. Even with no Deshaun, start Amari Cooper, and you can run on the Colts, so go ahead and start your RBs. Jonathan Taylor and Zack Moss are still sharing carries, and against an incredible defense, it’s a tough matchup for both. Mike is trying to avoid starting Moss, but you can start WR Josh Downs. Buffalo is a favorite over the Patriots in New England, and this could be a gross game. Jason still thinks you can start Rhamondre. You can start your Buffalo studs, but the Pats are good against QBs. You can still ride with James Cook, and Gabe Davis is a dart throw.

Washington travels to New York to play the Giants in the next game. Sam Howell is in play as a streamer, and other fantasy possibilities exist. It is a good matchup for the WRs for the Giants – Wan’Dale Robinson could be a good start. You can go back to Logan Thomas. Atlanta and Tampa Bay play in a very low over/under. On the Tampa side, Godwin has been a Falcon killer in the past, and Rachaad White is a fringe start. On the other side, you might be able to go back to the Kyle Pitts well but don’t make Andy do it. Drake London has a great matchup.

Starts of the Week

Andy is reluctantly starting Jordan Love. He is also starting Aaron Jones, Hollywood Brown, and Dallas Goedert. Mike is putting on his steel underpants and starting Russell Wilson, Isiah Pacheco, Wan’Dale Robinson, and Michael Mayer. Jason is starting Geno Smith, Jerome Ford, Puka Nacua, and the Luth.

Friday – Week 7 Matchups and Bad Luck Chuck, Wheel of Shame!

Thursday Night Recap

Derek Carr stays at the top of the list of players Andy does not want to watch. Alvin Kamara is catching the ball about a million times a game and is a crutch that is hurting the offense. Chris Olave had a bad game, and you lucked out with Michael Thomas. On the Jacksonville side, Andy is now questioning the confidence level of Calvin Ridley, and Jason agrees. You can bench him if needed. Taysom Hill is slowly becoming a startable TE.

News

Roschon Johnson missed practice again, and he might not clear protocol to play this week. There is a report that Deshaun Watson should start, and the Muth looks to have just aggravated his hamstring. Daniel Jones is not yet cleared for contact, and DeVonta Smith looks to play this week.

Fantasy Forecast

Detroit and Baltimore start us off, and a road game for Goff will be intriguing. Montgomery is out, so it should be the Jahmyr Gibbs show. You start Amon-Ra, but Craig Reynolds is an “in case of emergency.” Even with a subpar matchup, you can start TE Sam LaPorta. Andy does not have a lot of confidence in the Baltimore RBs, but you can play WR Zay Flowers. Pittsburgh heads west to play the Los Angeles Rams in Andy’s almost-upset. Andy does not have a lot of faith in the Rams’ RB ensemble, but Puka and Kupp are a go. It is a big no thank you for most of the Pittsburgh Steelers, but if you have to pick a Steelers RB, Jason is going with Jaylen Warren.

Arizona plays Seattle in an NFC West battle. This might be the last Josh Dobbs game, and you are starting very few Cardinals to celebrate. Hollywood Brown is a fantastic play. For Seattle, fire up Geno Smith and pretty much all of the offensive options from the PNW. Green Bay plays Denver in the next matchup. The Denver defense is non-existent, and all of the Packers seem to have good matchups, with Aaron Jones being Andy’s start of the week. For the Broncos, you can start Jaleel McLaughlin or Javonte.

The Chiefs and Chargers are next, and Jason hopes for a barnburner. You are starting the studs on both sides, but the big decisions surround Josh Palmer and rookie Rashee Rice. Both players are potential dart throws this week. Miami and Philly close out Sunday, and this should be a good one. You can throw on the Eagles, so fire up those pass-catchers. Jason wants to take a wait-and-see approach on Jeff Wilson Jr. and feels confident starting DeVonta Smith even with his injury.

San Francisco versus Minnesota finishes out Week 7. Keep an eye on CMC and his practice schedule this week in case you need to pivot with him off the field. The guys like Eli Mitchell and you can close your eyes and start Kittle. The matchup is not great for Kirk Cousins and his weapons, but you can still start Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson.

The guys reveal their Draft Kings lineups, and Jason spins the Wheel of Shame to close out the show.
