Reuben Frank Doesn’t Think Jalen Carter Was Accountable Enough About the Accident In His Post-Draft Interview

Reuben Frank didn’t think Jalen Carter showed enough accountability in his post-draft interview so he brought it up to Howie Roseman and Nick Sirianni:

This is bullshit on Reub’s part. How can you gauge someone’s accountability on a Zoom call where it looks like he’s being held hostage?

We’re talking about a kid who just got drafted and instantly had tears rolling down his eyes on stage. He’s feeling every emotion in the world at one time while being pulled in a million directions. If I’m that dude all I’m thinking about is how long do I have to do the bullshit until I can get back to my family and friends. No one is saying what happened in January isn’t a terrible situation, but lets think a little bit about time and place. It’s the happiest moment of his life and people want to jump down his throat asking about what happened that night. And people will argue that it’s the main reason for his fall to nine and this and that, but if you’re an Eagles reporter you’re going to have the introductory press conference and the entirety of his rookie deal to ask everything. I even checked back over the transcript from the interview and saw he was only asked two questions about the accident. There isn’t a lot of context for Reub to even judge. Is it to much to ask for the kid to just enjoy his night? It feels like a bunch of vultures looking for controversial comments so their draft stories write themselves. I mean Jalen isn’t even allowed to comment on it because it’s still an ongoing investigation.

This is a tough look for Reub, especially after he spent 10 minutes debating Dave Spadaro that Josh Huff’s DUI was “not a serious enough incident” to get cut seven years ago:
