NFL Week 2 Opening Odds, Betting Lines, and spreads: 49ers run over Rams

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (19) congratulates San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (11) for catching a touchdown pass against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the first half at Acrisure Stadium.

Week 1 was a roller coaster from start to finish. It started with Jared Goff and the Lions upsetting Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Thursday Night Football and continued with plenty of upsets on Sunday, like the Buccaneers beating the Vikings, the Browns upsetting the Bengals, the Rams taking down the Seahawks and so much more. Some quarterbacks looked like they still needed to shake off some rust (I’m looking at you, Joe Burrow), while other QB1s like Tua Tagovailoa looked in mid-season form. So, what will Week 2 have in store?

Most sportsbooks announced game lines for the next week on Sunday night, so here are the opening lines for Week 2.

Best early bet for NFL Week 2

The Rams had one of the biggest upsets of the week, and not just because they were the underdog heading into the game, but also because they were down 13-7 at halftime. But Los Angeles ran away in the second half to earn the 30-13 win in Week 1. Matthew Stafford was impressive in the win with 334 yards, but somehow, he didn’t throw a touchdown pass. Whenever the Rams made it to the red zone, they handed it off to Austin Ekeler and Cam Akers, who combined for 3 scores. I don’t see that happening in Week 2 against a 49ers defensive line which is one of the best in the business. And on offense for the Niners, Brock Purdy looked fabulous against an elite Steelers defense and distributed the ball perfectly between Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle. I’m expecting another big win from San Francisco in Week 2.
