Footclan, it is an absolute honor and privilege to be able to share my tournament thoughts with you on a weekly basis this season. My goal is to give you an extra resource to use when creating your lineups. I usually play one or two hand-built lineups every week and I’ve had much success in my career playing that way. Each week I’ll discuss my favorite stacks to utilize in large-field tournaments, ways to gain leverage on the field, and any other slate-specific thoughts.
In Week 3 of the 2021 NFL season, I won the Milly Maker and several other six-figure contests on DraftKings. I’ve also been to five live finals where I have competed against some of the best players in the industry. I’m so excited to be able to help you gain an advantage and win some big money this year!
With just a few weeks left in the regular season, it’s time to hit the gas. Last Sunday’s Game of the Week surely lived up to expectations, and there were numerous games that were also great for DFS purposes. I ended up cashing after a two-week skid, and I’m hoping I can keep up the momentum heading into the Fantasy Football World Championship in Week 15. I’m trying my best not to look too far ahead, but that contest will be the biggest one I have ever been a part of. With that said, we’re keeping our eyes on the prize for this upcoming slate, so let’s get to it.
Slate Specific Thoughts
I will not be discussing the Zack Moss chalk we have on this slate, because I think you should play him, as will most of the field at just $4,600. There are a ton of other running backs with value, so if you plan on playing a bunch of lineups it’s fine if you prefer to be underweight, but he’s clearly the best point-per-dollar player we have access to.
We’ve got four games with an implied total of 47 points or more this Sunday, and it seems like this could be one of the higher-scoring slates we’ve seen in quite a while. Truly, any of these four games could qualify in our featured Game of the Week, but there is one that I have my eye on.
Game of the Week Dolphins @ Commanders (O/U 49.5)
I’m so excited to watch these two pass-heavy attacks battle each other on Sunday. The Dolphins are the league’s most explosive offense, and they get a dream matchup against a Commanders team that’s allowed the most passing touchdowns in the league with 28, and 7.9 YPA which is second most in the league according to PFF. Tua Tagovailoa at $7,900 is my favorite quarterback on the slate regardless of his expensive price tag.
