NBA Boston Celtics vs New York Knicks same game parlay picks: Going for back-to-back winners at +638 odds

New York Knicks guard Miles McBride (2) and guard Josh Hart (3) help pick up forward Julius Randle (30) at the end of the third quarter against the Portland Trail Blazers at Moda Center.

Opening night was a productive one as my +270 odds Same Game Parlay landed on the Suns vs Warriors game. I’m looking to go back-to-back tonight with the Boston Celtics taking on the New York Knicks. Tip-off is at 7 pm ET on ESPN, continue reading below to see my bet.

We will also have predictions for every single game on Wednesday’s 12-game slate. Simply head over to our NBA Predictions page to see them.

Let’s dive into my SGP bet now!

Julius Randle to Score 25+ Points (+115)

Jalen Brunson 2+ Made Threes (-250)

Kristaps Porzingis Over 7.5 Rebounds (-115)

Derrick White to Record 2+ Assists (-380)

Same Game Parlay odds: +638

Julius Randle to Score 25+ Points (+115)

Randle is the go-to guy for the Knicks, he has proven that time after time last season, especially in head-to-head games against the Celtics. In his last 4 against them he’s averaging exactly 30 points per game, while shooting 50% from the field and an impressive 38% from downtown on 4 makes per game. The potential absence of Al Horford helps him here as well, that’s one less big man body he has to deal with on the inside. In his final preseason game he finished with 20 points and 10 boards in just 29 minutes played, so let’s hope he can elevate those scoring numbers to at least 25 in the season opener.

Jalen Brunson 2+ Made Threes (-250)

Brunson’s impact on this Knicks team was massive last season, especially in the Playoffs where he elevated his scoring average by 3.8 points. During the regular season he delivered from three-point land, shooting the ball at a 41.6% clip, while making exactly 2 per game. Since joining the Knicks he’s played the Celtics 3 times and is averaging 22.7 points per game, going up against an elite defender like Jrue Holiday could be a challenge, but I’m sure a player like him will thrive under pressure here.

Wednesday’s NBA Mega Parlay has +801 odds

Kristaps Porzingis Over 7.5 Rebounds (-115)

The Latvian big man is one of the biggest acquisitions in the NBA this offseason by any team and right off the bat he’s playing his old team in what will be his Celtics official debut. Porzingis already played vs New York in the preseason and finished with 20 points and 8 rebounds in just 28 minutes played. He followed that up with a 12 rebounds night vs Charlotte, in a game in which the Celtics were without Al Horford. That could be the case tonight as well, the veteran big man is a game time decision and if he is unable to play, Porzingis will have to step up his game on the glass. Last season he averaged 8.4 rebounds a night, being the only reliable center for head coach Joe Mazzulla should allow him to reach that number fairly easily here.

Derrick White to Record 2+ Assists (-380)

I am actually surprised by the odds we are getting for this bet. Derrick White could very well start for the Celtics this season and share the point guard duties with Jrue Holiday. I expect Holiday to be a bit more active on the defensive end, so White could have the ball in his hand a lot more than people might think. That should translate into more passing opportunities, as we saw in the preseason where he had at least 2 assists in 3 of the 4 games he played in. White is also on a solid run against the Knicks with 3 games in a row of 4 assists, I expect that to carry over on to Boston’s season opener tonight.
