Playoffs?! Playoffs? You kiddin’ me? Playoffs! It’s that time of the year and I am here for it. Playoff teams are probably decided, but seeding matters especially if you can snag a bye. If you’re on the ropes and need a win, pray to the fantasy football gods and hope it works out. Good luck this week!
Question #1 – Waivers
Would you drop any of these players for McKinnon? Ridley, Kincaid, Charbonnet, Addison, Walker, Kyler Murray – Jgiggles21
Answer: Looking at this list, I’d be most tempted to drop Zach Charbonnet. He’s been useful with Kenneth Walker III out but doesn’t offer much upside and Walker should be coming back. I like the idea of waiting to see what happens with Calvin Ridley now that Christian Kirk is out. Dalton Kincaid, Jordan Addison, Walker III, and Kyler Murray should be useful options to throw into lineups when the matchups are good. Jerick McKinnon‘s pass-catching prowess could make him very useful for any games Isiah Pacheco misses.
Question #2 – Start/Sit
Start Swift over Nico? The weather in NY is horrible and dal vs phi has highest o/u. – Kapper
Answer: This really depends on what you need. If you just need 10 or so points, D’Andre Swift is probably the safer option. That said Nico Collins has had back-to-back explosive games and could easily do it again. As far as the weather is concerned, yes it’s ugly but it’s really not that bad. There will be consistent rain, but the forecasts have improved with winds around 10 mph sustained. I wouldn’t make this decision based on the weather.
Question #3 – Dynasty
12tm sf ppr. What’s the gap between 1.08 and 1.05? Would the 2.10 be enough? – Benito
Answer: I don’t think the 2.10 moves the needle that far. I think this is the sort of rookie class that can take a bottom-feeder team and make it a contender using two to three first-round draft picks. This will almost certainly change, but the 1.05 looks like it’ll be Jayden Daniels or Malik Nabers. Both of those guys are heavy hitters. I still like the options at the 1.08 this year, but it will be a significant downgrade and a late second won’t get you there.
Question #4 – Rookie Class
Any rookie outlooks for next year? I have a bunch of 1sts and wondering if there is any aside from Marvin and then top 3 QBs to look out for? – willywonga420
Answer: Speaking of dynasty. This 2024 draft class is stacked with WRs and QBs. Beyond Marvin Harrison Jr. there is the previously mentioned Malik Nabers who would easily be the top WR in most draft classes. Even beyond Nabers, there are Rome Odunze, Keon Coleman, Emeka Egbuka, Adonai Mitchell, and plenty of others. That’s why I think this is the exact sort of class – full of WRs and QBs – that can change dynasty teams quickly.
Question #5 – Playoffs
Does Competing in 12 tm sf hppr dynasty. Send Stafford and DAdams to get Kyren? Could use RB? – YieldFates
Answer: I would do this deal in a heartbeat. I’m not sure I trust Kyren Williams long-term, but he’s getting all the opportunity he can handle and it’s resulted in some huge weeks. Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams are not getting any younger. I think it’s a good opportunity to boost your playoff potential and get your team a little younger in the process. The risk is very low for the reward.
