Best Bet of the Day

World Cup: Portugal ML (-140) vs Morocco
7:00 pm ET

Morocco has made history by becoming the first Arab nation to reach the quarterfinals of a World Cup, having beaten Spain in a shootout in the round of 16. That was a huge result for Morocco and was once again testament to the quality of its defense, which restricted Spain to only a single shot on target in the goalless game. Awaiting the north African side in the quarterfinals is a Portugal team fresh from battering Switzerland 6-1 in its round-of-16 contest. Fernando Santos made a number of changes for that game, leaving Cristiano Ronaldo, Ruben Neves and Joao Cancelo on the bench. But the head coach’s selections paid dividends as Portugal raced into a 2-0 lead after only 33 minutes and young striker Goncalo Ramos scored the first hat-trick of the World Cup.
