Rob Thomson Was Not Named A Finalist for NL Manager of the Year

NL Manager finalists were just announced. The manager of the NL Champion Phillies was not included:

Look, these votes were cast before the postseason so these finalists make sense. That being said, getting to know Topper over the last four months I feel like he doesn’t want this award. It’s all about the team, the team, the team. The dude has spent 30 years avoiding the spotlight why would he want it right now. He’ll gladly take the result instead of some award he’d probably put on a shelf in his basement. So you know what MLB? I’ll speak for Topper. You can shove that NL Manager Award up your ass. Give it to a couple guys who couldn’t make it out of the NLDS and a guy who couldn’t manage his team out of the Wild Card at home. He’s already got three and has never sniffed a World Series. I’ll take Philly Rob any day of the week. Celebrating Phillies wins like he’s your dad with his belt untucked and a Miller Lite in hand:
