The English Premier League heads into another weekend of exciting soccer. Manchester City are in the driver’s seat to win the Premier League title, but if the Cityzens drop points, it could open the door for Liverpool or Chelsea.
Chelsea will meet London rival Tottenham Hotspur in the big match of the weekend. The Blues are fresh off of defeating Tottenham over two legs in the EFL Cup semifinals. Can Chelsea win a fourth straight game this season against Spurs? Let’s take a look at the Soccer Buddy took and three select games from this weekend’s Premier League action.
Friday, January 21
Watford vs. Norwich City
This is a six-point match between two teams fighting for Premier League survival. Norwich City are 18th in the league while Watford are 17th. Just one point separates the two sides.
Watford won 3-1 earlier this season against Norwich City away. The Hornets are in poor form currently and are winless in seven straight Premier League games.
Norwich City are coming off of a Premier League 2-1 win over Everton. The victory ended an eight-game winless streak for the Canaries. Watford are on a five straight winning streak against Norwich City in all competitions. The Hornets should claim another win versus Norwich City in a very close game.
Result: Norwich City
Over/Under: Over 2.5 goals

Manchester United vs. West Ham
Manchester United are coming off of a 3-1 win over Brentford in midweek. The victory ended a period of poor form for the Red Devils, although they did not play well for the entire 90 minutes versus Brentford.
West Ham are fourth in the Premier League standings and could qualify for the Champions League for the first time. They need to improve their current form to qualify for the top four.
Manchester United and West Ham are separated by just two points in the table. Earlier this season, the Red Devils went to London and came from behind to defeat West Ham 2-1. West Ham had the chance to tie the game in second-half stoppage-time but Mark Noble missed a penalty.
The teams also met in the EFL Cup with West Ham winning at Old Trafford — the site of Saturday’s game. West Ham won three of their last four games, but are coming off of a 3-2 loss to Leeds United.
Manchester United are undefeated in five of their last six games and coming off of the previously mentioned 3-0 win over Brentford. The Red Devils are tipped by Soccer Buddy to claim a 2-1. Two of the last eight games between these teams ended 2-1. This should be a close game with the Red Devils winning.
Result: Manchester United win
Over/Under: Over 2.5 goals

Chelsea vs. Tottenham Hotspur
Chelsea are on a great run of form versus Tottenham. The Blues are undefeated in 11 straight games against Spurs in all competitions. This season, the Blues have already won three matches versus Tottenham. In each of those games, the Blues won to nil. Chelsea are undefeated in six straight games at Stamford Bridge versus Spurs.
Spurs are in better form than Chelsea in the league going into the game. They are undefeated in six straight matches with each of their last two games ending in wins. On Wednesday night, Spurs came from 2-1 down second-half stoppage-time against Leicester City to win 3-2.
Chelsea are winless in four straight games in the league. Three of their last four games were draws, including Tuesday night’s game versus Brighton.
Although Spurs are in better form, it is difficult to go against Chelsea thanks to their 11 straight matches in all competitions without a defeat to Spurs. Due to the trend of Chelsea picking up results and winning three straight league games against Tottenham, our betting pick is for Chelsea to claim a win at full-time. Once again, expect a close game.
Result: Chelsea win
Over/Under: Over 2.5 goals
