There aren’t many great things to see than a Saturday filled with 15 NHL games. We’ve got early afternoon action and plenty of divisional matchups. The Boston Bruins are out to extend their 10-0-0 home record and defending Stanley Cup champion-Avalanche are out for their 10th win. However, we aren’t targeting those high-profile teams. We’ve found value in 3 other spots and pieced them together for a mega parlay that could boost your bankroll for days to come. Before we dive in, be sure to check out our NHL picks for today’s action.
Detroit Red Wings vs Columbus Blue Jackets – Over 6.5 (-110)
The Red Wings helped us cash a best bet on Thursday night with an 11-goal game against the San Jose Sharks. They remain on the road tonight, which is perfect for another high-scoring game. Detroit is allowing the 5th-most goals per game on the road, and now travels to Columbus. The Blue Jackets aren’t exactly world-beaters, but they can capitalize on that 4 goals per game average.
They’ve now scored at least 5 goals in each of their last 3 home games, including Thursday’s 6-4 win over the Montreal Canadiens. That also helps demonstrate how prone they are to allowing goals. Now only are they allowing the 2nd-most goals per game at home, they’re allowing the most goals per game overall. The Wings can also do their part in capitalizing on that weakness, as they just put up 7 goals in San Jose Thursday night. With both teams allowing at least 4 goals per game in their respective home/away positions, expect a high-scoring game tonight.

Toronto Maple Leafs -1.5 (-120) over Buffalo Sabres
Now it’s time to swap our betting market. We’re going with the puck line in Toronto, as the Maple Leafs are looking to bounce back off a tough overtime loss. They looked poised to end the New Jersey Devils 10-game winning streak, but ultimately fell short. Losing to a team as hot as the Devils is nothing to be embarrassed about, and they have the talent to bounce back. Obviously led by Auston Matthews, they have one of the highest-paid rosters in the NHL.
They can put that on display against a Sabres team that just lost to the Ottawa Senators their last time on the ice. Losing 4-1 to a team tied for the worst record in the Eastern Conference does not provide much confidence for Sabres’ fans. They too struggle in terms of goaltending on the road, as they’re allowing over 3.5 goals per game outside of Buffalo. Meanwhile, the Leafs are allowing barely over 2.5 goals per game at home. The Sabres were the first team in the Eastern Conference with 10 losses, and look set to notch number 11 tonight.

Edmonton Oilers -1.5 (+215) over Vegas Golden Knights
Let’s wrap things up with another puck line play. However, this one is what provides us with the incredible payout and may be the most surprising play on the board. That’s primarily because of how strong the Golden Knights have looked so far this season. They’re still leading the Western Conference at 14-4-0, and the Oilers are still looking for their 10th win. While that may not sound like good news, Edmonton can still get the job done. Much like the Leafs having Matthews, the Oilers have Connor McDavid, who should never be doubted.
He and Leon Draisaitl are still numbers 1 and 2 in the NHL in terms of points recorded. That means Edmonton is one of the teams that can crack this Vegas goaltending. Logan Thompson has been solid, but he’s still a backup for a reason. The Knights also had the luxury of beating up on a bad Arizona Coyotes team their last time out, but had lost back-to-back games on home ice prior to that. Edmonton won 3 of 4 meetings against Vegas last season, and both of the home matchups, so they can come through and shock the Knights faithful tonight.
