The NBA season is nearly 20 percent complete and it’s time for teams to make a statement. There are plenty of games scheduled for November 13 with the 76ers hosting the Jazz at the top of the list.
Utah Jazz versus Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers come into play struggling without James Harden and after missing Joel Embiid for a stretch. They enter “average down” and +14 on the Power Ranks Indicator, while the Jazz are “burning hot” and +29, respectively. The Score Predictor likes the Jazz by a score of 117-110 with 71 percent confidence. Note that both teams have been involved in games equally over and under the line in their last six. Utah has been extremely unstable, at -5 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. They will likely be road favorites but that instability alone leans me towards Philadelphia, but pass on the over/under bet.
Oklahoma City Thunder versus New York Knicks
Both teams are struggling at the moment, at “ice cold down” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Knicks have a +15 to +8 edge on the Power Ranks Indicator. Both teams have been involved in games “over” the line in four or the last six games. The Score Predictor has the Knicks by a score of 113-110 with 47 percent confidence. Last season the Thunder took both meetings between the teams. The Team Volatility Oscillator shows both teams are very stable. I like the Thunder on the road by between 5 and 10 points in a game “over” the line.
Brooklyn Nets versus Los Angeles Lakers
The Nets look to get back on track after the Kyrie Irving fiasco and the hiring of a new head coach. They come in “average up” and +9 on the Power Ranks Indicator, while the Lakers are “ice cold down” and +4, respectively. Brooklyn is a road favorite with odds of 1.560 to 2.210. The Score Predictor has the Nets by a 125-102 margin with 49 percent confidence. Note that the Nets have been involved in games “under” the line in each of the last six games. I will take the Nets on the road in a game “under” the line.
Golden State Warriors versus Sacramento Kings
The Warriors come in to play struggling at “dead up” on the Team Strength Oscillator and +1 on the Power Ranks Indicator. Sacramento is “average up” and +6, respectively. The teams have combined in games “over” the line in only five of the last 12 contests. The Warriors took all six games between the teams last season, but the Score Predictor favors the Kings by a 122-114 margin with 67 percent confidence. Sacramento has been very stable, at +4 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. Go with the Kings to end the Warriors streak over them in a game “under” the line.
