As the NBA All-Star break approaches, the conference battles are heating up. Teams look to enter the break on a high, but which teams will rise to the top? There are four games we will take a look at for February 6 with the Bulls hosting the 76ers as the featured matchup.
Philadelphia 76ers versus Chicago Bulls
The top two teams in the Eastern Conference battle it out in Chicago. Both teams are “burning hot” on the Team Strength Oscillator and the 76ers have a +26 to +23 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator. The Score Predictor has the Bulls prevailing by the score of 119-115 with 62 percent confidence. Chicago has been trending in games over the line more frequently over the last six games, while the 76ers have been even over those games. Chicago is a bit more stable at +18 to +12 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Bulls in a tight contest in a game “over” the line.
Indiana Pacers versus Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers are 4th in the tight Eastern Conference and the Pacers are on the outside of the playoff race looking in. Cleveland has a +22 to +4 advantage on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average up” versus “ice cold up” on the Team Volatility Oscillator. Both teams have been trending in more games “over” the line than “under” the line. The Score Predictor has the Pacers by a 112-106 margin with 83 percent confidence. I like the Cavaliers, who are clearly playing much better ball this season. Take them in a game going “over” the line.
Brooklyn Nets versus Denver Nuggets
The Nets have been in a tailspin and are 5th in the Eastern Conference, while the Nuggets are 7-3 over their last ten and 6th in the Western Conference. Denver has a +26 to +16 edge on the Power Ranking Indicator, but Denver is “burning hot down” versus “dead” on the Team Strength Oscillator. The Score Predictor likes the Nets by the score of 112-109 with 64 percent confidence. Both teams are showing stability, coming in at +15 and +10 on the Team Volatility Oscillator. I like the Nuggets but avoid the “over/under” bet.
Milwaukee Bucks versus Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers are hanging to the 8th seed in the Western Conference and the Bucks are a game and a half back in the Eastern Conference. Milwaukee is +20 on the Power Ranking Indicator and “average up” on the Team Strength Oscillator, while the Clippers are +17 and “average down”, respectively. The Score Predictor likes the Bucks in a high-scoring game, 120-11 with 50 percent confidence. The Clippers have been involved in games going “over” the line in five of their last six. Note that both teams have been consistently performing according to their favorite/underdog status. I give the edge to the Bucks in a game “over” the line.
