Kell Brook takes on Amir Khan in Manchester this weekend and he’ll be eager to put on a show for what could be his farewell bout.
The Sheffield-born star is set to face his old rival in an all-British battle which has been years in the making.
The Special One held the IBF welterweight title from 2014 to 2017 and will be hoping that he can add another victory to his already impressive record when he takes on the former unified light-welterweight world champion.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for Brook after this fight with talk of retirement a possibility, but there’s no doubt that for now all focus will be on earning a win against Khan.
Here talkSPORT.com take a look at Brook’s record ahead of the blockbuster bout.
Kell Brook: Debut and who he has fought
After winning two Amateur Boxing Association of England titles and two National Association of Boys Clubs with 31 wins out of 36 fights at amateur level, Brook’s first professional bout came in 2004 when he secured a six-round points victory over Peter Buckley in Sheffield.
After earning 16 wins from 16 early in his career, Brook claimed the vacant BBBofC welterweight title against Barrie Jones at York Hall.
Brook then claimed the WBO Inter-Continental title with a victory against Krzysztof Bienias, before his first bout under the Matchroom Boxing umbrella against Lovemore Ndou earned him the WBA Inter-Continental title.
A win over Matthew Hatton, the brother of Ricky Hatton, saw him add the IBF International welterweight belt to his collection and extend his unbeaten run to 27 fights.
Brook then defeated Carson Jones and Hector David Saldivia to earn a mandatory shot at the IBF welterweight title.
Unfortunately his shot against Devon Alexander Jr was missed due to injury, however after continuing his winning run, Brook earned mandatory challenger status again and faced Shawn Porter in August 2014 as he secured the title.
The Special One defended his belt against Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin and Kevin Bizier, before moving up two weight divisions and facing WBA (Super), WBC, IBF, and IBO middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin at the O2 Arena in London.

Brook then faced Errol Spence Jr to defend his IBF welterweight title and lost by KO.
He bounced back against Sergey Rabchenko, before beating Michael Zerafa and then Mark De Luca.
In his latest bout, Brook moved back down to welterweight and faced Terence Crawford at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for the WBO world welterweight title, a bout that he lost in November 2020 by TKO.
Kell Brook: Wins, losses and professional record
Of the 42 fights that Brook has competed in, he’s come out victorious on 39 occasions.
A total of 27 of those victories came by way of knockout, with all three of his losses coming by KO.
Kell Brook: Weight, height and reach
Brook’s last bout against Crawford came at a weight of 147lb, however the weight limit for the clash with Khan is 149lb.
The 35-year-old, who fights from an orthodox stance, is 5ft 9 in (175cm).
He has a reach of 69in (175cm).
Kell Brook: Next fight and future opponents
Brook will face Amir Khan in his next bout on Saturday, February 19 at Manchester Arena.
The two Brits will finally face off after years of rivalry in an event that will be a must-see for boxing fans.
What the future holds for Brook appears to be uncertain, however if he loses against Khan he has admitted that it may mean retirement.
Brook said: “I don’t really think about losing.
But if we have to bring that up and, even though I can’t get that in my head that I am going to lose, but I would call it a draw.
“End of the boxing, [gloves] to be hung up.”
