Hafthor Bjornsson confirms rematch clause in Eddie Hall contract as Thor labels The Beast’s spy claims ‘bulls***’

Hafthor Bjornsson has revealed there is a rematch clause in his contract with Eddie Hall.

The two former World’s Strongest Men will finally settle their long-running feud in the boxing ring on Saturday night in Dubai.

The hatred dates back to 2017 with accusations of cheating during the strongman event and any semblance of relationship they had only deteriorated from there.

Thor and Hall agreed to a lucrative boxing fight back in 2020 and nearly two years later it is set to finally go ahead, after The Beast got injured and their September 2021 fight date was pushed back.

The pair have nearly come to blows this week after several ugly confrontations and it is hoped this fight will settle their score.

But if one of the two were dissatisfied with the result then they could look to enact a rematch.

“In the contract, there is a rematch clause there, but I truly believe if we are both happy and want to walk away there won’t be a rematch,” Thor, Reign Total Body Fuel athlete, told talkSPORT.

“Unless one of us really wants a rematch then there will be.

“As long as we are both happy and want to move on with our lives, which I truly believe we both want to do, then there will be no rematch.”

Thor admitted he is keen to carry on boxing after facing Hall, fighting in three warm-up bouts before the event, if the right opportunities arose.

He said. “100 per cent, if the right opportunities came along, I would gladly focus on some other fights, but it would have to make sense and be sooner than later.

“I’m 33 years old. I’m not 20 any more. I could be waiting another year for a second fight, I’d want to fight sooner rather than later.

“Then have another fight and then have another fight, if I want to stay active in boxing.”

The build-up to the clash in the ring has been a nasty one with the war of words stretching back months, if not years.

At one point, Hall claimed to have a spy in Thor’s camp who was sending him over sparring footage.

When asked about his rivals’ claims, The Mountain added: “I honestly have no clue. How would I know if he had a spy in my camp. If I knew that he wouldn’t really be a good spy.

“Honestly, I think he’s just talking bulls***. Who would be the spy? My dad? You really think my dad would stab me in the back?

“My coach? You really think my coach would stab me in the back?

“He’s just full of bulls*** Eddie Hall. He keeps talking bulls*** and lies. It’s just typical him.
