Deontay Wilder will return to the ring this weekend as he looks to rebuild his reputation after back-to-back defeats to Tyson Fury.

The Bronze Bomber was comprehensively beaten by Fury but now, he is back and ready to compete again.

Wilder boasts 41 KOs from his 42 wins but he was outclassed by the ‘Gypsy King’.

His opponent on Saturday night will be Finland’s Robert Helenius, who owns a 31-3 record.

Despite his recent troubles, Wilder will be the heavy favourite as he looks to continue his boxing career after briefly considering retirement.

Wilder vs Helenius: Date and start time

This 12-round heavyweight clash is set to take place on Saturday, October 15.

It will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City.

The ring walk times for the main event are expected to be around 4am UK time.

The clash will be shown live on FITE TV PPV in the UK.

Deontay Wilder: “It’s been a long journey for me and as of today it continues.

“I thought so many times about whether I should stay out of the business or come back.

“Once I got my statue in my hometown and saw so many people arrive and celebrate with me and my family, to see all the emotions, grown men crying in front of their children and saying he is a real true king, made me feel like my job is not done.

“So, here I am once again, looking forward to returning to the ring. I am looking forward to coming to Barclays Center, a place where I have had my most devastating knockouts and a place I consider my second home.

“So where all my Bombzquad people at? It’s time to put on your war gear. And let’s go to work, baby. Bombzquad is back!”

Robert Helenius: “I’m a different fighter from Fury so he [Wilder] is going to prepare differently.

“He made a good fight the last fight against Fury. Of course they were really tough fights but I think he improved every fight.

“I see him as a completely new fighter and I know that people can change between fights.

“I don’t think that [coming off a loss] is going to be a big problem, he has a lot of experience. I think it’s going to be a really, really good fight.”
