As part of the NFL Coach and Front Office Accelerator Program, Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and director of football research Jacqueline Davidson will participate. These events will take place during the NFL spring league meetings in Atlanta.
The purpose is to have over 60 coach and general manager candidates get together for leadership development and networking opportunities. All 32 teams will be represented.
This program also provides senior women and minority prospects to have leadership development sessions with football operations experts and facilitators. They’ll spend time networking directly with team owners.
The goal is to continue building a diverse hiring pipeline for future head coach and general manager positions throughout the NFL.
Bucs Participants
Each team was able to pick two members from their organization as the Bucs went with Leftwich and Davidson.

Leftwich is in his fourth year with the Bucs as their offensive coordinator. He’s helped lead them as one of the top offenses in the NFL over the last two years. The Bucs have led in categories such as points per game, yards per game and passing yards.
In a close call, Leftwich almost became the head coach of the Jaguars this year before negotiations soured late. It’s only a matter of time before he’s a head coach soon.
Davidson will going into her third year in the Bucs front office working with Jason Licht and Mike Greenberg. Previously, she worked for 11 years in football administration for the Jets.
Davidson has been instrumental to the success had by the Bucs organization in winning Super Bowl LV and also re-signing players from the 2020 and 2021 offseason. Licht has spoken very highly of her contributions, and it looks like she will hopefully run a team as their general manager soon.
The NFL Coaches and Front Office Accelerator Program at the spring meetings is on May 23 and 24.
